As people begin to make travel plans once again, we felt it was a good time to share a few of the protective measures we are taking to ensure you, your fellow guests and our colleagues stay happy and healthy at all times, as well as unveiling a few new additions to our portfolio of properties. We encourage our guests to #LiveTheMoment and create new memories that will last a lifetime, while everyone’s safety remains our highest priority.

Welcome to Jumeirah: what to expect

Coming out of lockdown and throwing open the doors to our rooms, suites, bars, dining spaces and fitness centres means adhering to guidelines that have been designed to keep everyone safe. So, whether you plan to immerse yourself in the Ottoman-style opulence of Jumeirah Zabeel Saray in Dubai or soak up the art-inspired surrounds of Capri Palace on the sun-kissed Italian island, you can expect to see the following measures being rigorously implemented.

It’s so important that we provide a warm welcome – wherever in the world you have travelled from and to – and our colleagues continue to greet guests on arrival while always respecting social distancing. In addition to maintaining a recommended two-metre distance from others, we have kindly requested that our guests join our colleagues in wearing a mask while they are in public areas. These can be easily found at numerous points across our hotels and resorts, for your convenience.

Partnerships with hygiene and safety industry leaders Bureau Veritas and Ecolab have been essential when it comes to auditing our practices across the guest journey. Jumeirah Al Naseem was the first hotel in the world to be awarded the Bureau Veritas’ Safeguard label, which has since also been presented to Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Jumeirah Al Qasr and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and Jumeirah Frankfurt.

As a result, our colleagues have been trained to regularly conduct temperature checks to ensure they are well, while public spaces are fogged up to three times a day depending on how many guests are passing through these areas.

Health measures so you can enjoy your holiday

We pride ourselves on delivering world-class dining experiences – from the newly opened beachfront pop-up French Riviera at Jumeirah Al Qasr to the Michelin-starred offerings of L’Olivio and Il Riccio on Capri – so to ensure nothing distracts guests from a delicious experience we offer the peace of mind that comes with knowing every restaurant is fully sanitised before each service. In addition, our buffets have been transformed into tempting á la carte menus, while tables are arranged with social distancing in mind and are set with a sanitiser dispenser and pocket-size packs of sanitising wipes.

Before checking in, your room or suite will have been left vacant for the three days prior to your stay as an additional safety measure to the cleaning regime being observed by our housekeeping team. Also, pillows and duvets undergo a thermal hygiene process and pillow and mattress protectors are changed after each checkout.

Then, during your stay, your room or suite is cleaned and aired every day at a time that’s convenient to you while you are out – perhaps relaxing by the pool or visiting a local attraction. Hand gel, face masks and sanitising wipes are also presented alongside all the usual bathroom amenities. As for fitness centre facilities – such as the state-of-the-art boutique gym of Talise Fitness at Jumeirah Al Naseem or The J Club at Jumeirah Beach Hotel or any of our Talise gyms – all exercise machines have been placed a safe distance apart while we have reduced capacity by 30%, so there’s plenty of room to complete your workout. In addition, all equipment is sanitised before and after each use, and the gym is completely sanitised each night.

Looking to the future

While we continue to support our guests and colleagues to #StaySafeWithJumeirah we are also excited to announce a number of new openings and initiatives. For example, you and your family could be among the very first guests to experience Jumeirah Al Naseem’s Ocean and Royal Penthouses. Spanning 407 and 690 square metres respectively, these grand living and entertaining spaces feature expansive terraces and incredible views of the Burj Al Arab, while the Royal Penthouse comes with its very own private infinity pool and bespoke fitness studio.

Meanwhile, the newly opened Celeste Pool at Jumeirah Al Qasr offers a 22-metre swimming sanctuary for adults and across our Dubai beachside properties can be accessed with our Jumeirah Ultimate Staycation offer.

And just as Rockfish and French Riviera are guaranteed to satisfy guests’ cravings for Mediterranean cuisine in Dubai, over at the Capri Palace an authentic taste of Italy is on offer once again now that all of our dining spaces at this luxury retreat have reopened.
