There are places that captivate at first glance, and then there are those that unfold slowly, like Capri. Perched on the cliffs of Anacapri, Jumeirah Capri Palace opens a door into the island’s layered identity. This is not a whirlwind tour. It’s an invitation to pause - to see, taste, and feel a side of Capri often reserved for those willing to wander off the postcard path.

Day 1: The Arrival
The journey begins across the open sea. Leaving behind the hum of Naples, a private boat cuts through open water. Sunlight glances off the waves as the coastline begins to reshape - from shadowed silhouettes to the steep limestone cliffs of Capri. Along the hillsides, coves open between rocks like secrets. Whitewashed villas appear above the shore, their façades interrupted by bright bursts of bougainvillaea spilling over the walls. Just beyond, the famous arch of the Blue Grotto gleams with light refracted through water.

It’s here, on the edge of Anacapri, that Jumeirah Capri Palace reveals itself - not as a destination, but a feeling. Unhurried, sun-warmed, and deeply peaceful. A sanctuary for the days to come.

Lunch is taken at Il Riccio - the hotel’s pieds dans l’eau restaurant, perched just above the Blue Grotto. With its hand-painted tiles and open-air dining, the space feels light and relaxed, much like the dishes it serves. Seafood is delicately handled, linen flutters in salt-kissed air, and the mood is unmistakenly Mediterranean.

Whether wandering through art-filled halls, floating in the infinity pool that appears to spill into the horizon, or stealing a moment at the award-winning Capri Medical Spa, every part of the hotel encourages unhurried discovery.  As the sun dips behind the cliffs, a welcome cocktail and light dinner set the tone for the days ahead.

Day 2: Art, Wellness, & Olive Trees
The morning begins at L’Olivo - the island’s only two-Michelin-starred restaurant, renowned for its refined take on Mediterranean cuisine. Breakfast is easy and abundant - fresh fruits, just-warmed pastries, local specialities, and strong coffee set the tone for the day.

By mid-morning, creativity may take centre stage with a photography workshop led by Maurizio Galimberti, Italy’s renowned instant artist. Available by prior arrangement, the experience invites guests to see Capri through a new lens. With Polaroid in hand, the island becomes a living collage, captured not in single frames, but layered into textured mosaics of memory - his signature technique.

Afterwards, still grounded in quiet reflection, a visit to Capri Medical Spa shifts the focus inward. More than a place of beauty, the spa is rooted in regenerative medicine. At its heart lies the acclaimed Leg School®, a signature therapy that combines cooling muds, herbal compresses, and hydrotherapy to ease tension and support circulation. It is a restorative ritual that feels tailor-made for weary travellers.

In the afternoon, guests may choose to book a guided olive oil tasting experience, leading through narrow stone paths and sun-drenched terraces to the groves of Il Cappero. Here, the land speaks through flavour. Rich, peppery notes are revealed in oils pressed from the ancient Minucciola olive trees.

Lunch unfolds at the newly renovated Il Bar degli Artisti, where seasonal fare is served beneath bold, modern art. Infused with the scent of local citrus, rosemary, or bergamot, the dishes echo the rhythm of the island - light, fresh, and thoughtfully composed.

Come evening, L’Olivo is transformed. Candles flicker in the dim light, and what began as a breakfast table now cradles meaningful conversations over beautifully plated island classics - including the signature lemon-scented tagliolini, topped with red prawns, creamy burrata, crispy sea asparagus, and oyster leaf. It’s a dish that captures the essence of Capri: fresh, balanced, and rooted in tradition.

Day 3: Hiking, pizza-making and a Caprese celebration
On the final day, the morning offers a choice. For the active, a hike to Monte Solaro, the island’s highest point, reveals Capri’s charm from above. The climb rewards with panoramic views, where sea and sky blend in hazy blue, and every turn feels like a secret unveiled. Others may take the morning to themselves before returning to the Capri Medical Spa for a final session of Leg School®.

By noon, hands are in dough. At a-Ma-Re Capri, guests can take part in a hands-on pizza-making session, occasionally led by celebrated pizzaiolo Franco Pepe or one of the hotel’s expert chefs. The experience is rooted in simplicity: sun-grown tomatoes, silky mozzarella, fresh basil - layered with care and pulled hot from the wood-fired oven. It’s eaten with laughter, and sea views stretching endlessly ahead.

With the sky awash in fiery sunset hues, Zuma Capri’s rooftop setting offers a vibrant close to the day - contemporary izakaya dishes and cocktails served with mesmerising sea views. Guests might also revisit a favourite nook of the hotel, steal a final moment in the spa, or take a guided walk through Anacapri. Stops include Villa San Michele, where gardens and arcades frame wide views of the Gulf of Naples, and the Church of San Michele, whose majolica floor tells a story in painted tiles.

And then, Capri’s most spirited goodbye: a night at Taverna Anema e Core. Tucked off the main piazza, it’s where Capri truly let’s go. Live music erupts spontaneously, Neapolitan songs echo off the walls, and before long, strangers become friends. There’s dancing, guitars being passed around, and a sense that the night belongs to everyone.

A Departure, Not an Ending
On the final morning, nothing is rushed. Another quiet breakfast. A glance across the water. A boat waiting at the dock. But something remains - something intangible. A shift in pace. A softness around the edges. The sense that Capri, as experienced through Jumeirah Capri Palace, has left more than just memories. It has left an imprint - a new way of seeing, feeling, and being. One that may very well call you back.

Whether it’s your first visit or a long-awaited return, Capri has a way of revealing itself in layers. Let Jumeirah Capri Palace be your doorway to that discovery - where every path, plate, and person tells part of the island’s story. Begin your journey not just through Capri, but into the heart of its culture. Your itinerary awaits.
