Through the second edition of Jumeirah Capri Palace Award we continue to strengthen this relationship, supporting contemporary artistic research and creating opportunities for artists to engage with the unique character of Capri.

The Award reflects Jumeirah’s belief in the power of art to create meaningful dialogue between a place and those who experience it.

The Award forms part of the wider cultural dialogue created by Festival del Paesaggio, which returns to Capri for its 10th edition, celebrating the extraordinary relationship between nature, art, architecture and the Mediterranean landscape. This year, the festival presents The Observer, curated by Arianna Rosica and Gianluca Riccio, at Villa San Michele from September 6 to November 3, 2026.

Bringing together the works of Francis Alÿs, Ali Cherri, Irene Fenara, Andrea Francolino, Eva Giolo, Elisa Sighicelli, Luca Vitone and Klara Zetterholm, The Observer invites visitors to reflect on the act of looking and on the changing relationship between landscape, images and contemporary forms of observation. The exhibition provides an inspiring cultural context for the Award, reinforcing the dialogue between contemporary art, the landscape of Capri and the island’s international community.

The winner of Jumeirah Capri Palace Award will be announced on September 5, 2026, during the opening programme of the 10th edition of the Festival del Paesaggio. The jury is chaired by French critic and curator Nicolas Bourriaud, together with Claudio Cerasa, Brunella Trimarco, Ermanno Zanini and Marco Zappalorto. The award ceremony at Villa San Michele will bring together art, culture and hospitality in one of Capri’s most evocative settings.

The winner will receive an exhibition showcase at the hotel, together with an artist residency designed to provide the time and space to develop new work inspired by the island. A dedicated evening with special guests will then offer an opportunity for the artist’s vision to enter into dialogue with Capri and its international community.
