A Cultural Manifesto on the Aesthetics of Hospitality
"You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul"
George Bernard Shaw, Back to Methuselah (A Metabiological Pentateuch), 1921
At Jumeirah Capri Palace, we believe that art is not a decorative background, but a living presence, an
active gaze that inhabits space, provokes thought and invites dialogue. Each work, each gesture, is an
integral part of the guest experience, a spark for reflection and discovery.
Appointments with beauty: cultural and artistic events
Immerse yourself in the permanent collection of contemporary art:
White Artelier Capri offers work by the greatest masters of our time on display.
Jumeirah Capri Palace presents itself as a meeting point enriched by art, in all its forms, art that invites pause, sparks curiosity, and inspired reflection. Immersed in beauty, both aesthetic and ethical, the hotel becomes a space where meaningful connections are born, expressed through the universal language of art, which transcends borders and origins. Here, cultural content becomes the most powerful tool to infuse shared spaces with purpose and to shape the hotel's distinctive and timeless identity. The collection on display includes works by great masters who have shaped art from the last century to present day: from De Chirico to Paladino, from Pomodoro to Haring. Discover the selection of artists who have come to accompany you on a journey as a cultural experience.
To enrich the cultural offer, each year Jumeirah Capri Palace undertakes to construct a temporary narrative by exhibiting works by several international artists.
The exhibition set up at Jumeirah Capri Palace in collaboration with Galleria Continua explores the encounter between light and colour, a dialogue that goes beyond aesthetics to become a sensitive and intelligible experience. Light does not merely illuminate: it shapes space, highlights forms, reveals surfaces. Colour is not pigment, but visual emotion, a subjective filter through which the world is shaped and revealed. From this relationship, a connection develops between reality, perception and interpretation. Every nuance opens up new possibilities, stimulates thoughts, arouses different emotions, giving rise to kaleidoscopic readings of the same space.
Each artist lights up the theme 'Colore luce' with his or her own voice, creating a path made up of different nuances of the some reality. Discover the works currently on show by Pistoletto, Ozzola, Ward, Tayou and Cecchini.
