Traditional cuisine is a vehicle of culture, excellence and stories, as well as a springboard for interesting and thought-provoking innovations. Jumeirah Capri Palace, truthful to its mission of offering one of the richest gastronomic proposals in Italy, often brings in Starred Chefs from other properties to create exciting 4-hands dinners in its outlets. An opportunity to offer new experiences to all gourmet-lovers who choose to spend their vacation at this special island retreat.

In 2024, the cozy and refined ambiance of L’Olivo at Jumeirah Capri Palace, the only Two Michelin Starred Restaurant on the Island of Capri, will be the stage of three 4-hands dinners, which will involve three of the most renowned Italian Chef in the whole world: Alessandro Cerea from “Da Vittorio” near Bergamo (Three Michelin Stars), Nino Di Costanzo from “Danì Maison” in Ischia (Two Michelin Stars), and Paolo Casagrande from "Restaurant Lasarte" in Barcellona (Three Michelin Stars).

Alessandro Cerea, known as Bobo, has refined his technique and execution ability after years of study and application, thus perfecting his passion for the evocative first courses of the highest Mediterranean tradition.

Conveying the culinary art of Campania, thus inspiring emotions and memories, is also the pillar of the cuisine of Nino di Costanzo, who, after his experience at the court of great chefs, came to Ischia to put into practice his vision of innovation in tradition.

Paolo Casagrande’s career has also been characterised by passion, consistency and discipline from the youngest age. He combines the signature classic of Martin Berasategui, the restaurant patron, with innovative dishes specially created for Lasarte.

All across summer 2024, each of these maestros will team up with Jumeirah Capri Palace’s Executive Culinary Chef, Andrea Migliaccio, and Executive Chef, Salvatore Elefante, to create special evenings with dedicated menus, a testament to the Italian excellence and attention to gastronomy at 360 degrees. And a way to further establish L’Olivo as a place where the true fine dining on the Island of Capri takes place, with its setting of a cultural salon, enriched by sofas, Loro Piana Textiles, Ginori tableware, books and artworks.

Andrea Migliaccio, also Executive Chef at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, has been a real protagonist of L’Olivo rise to success since 2011, now expertly supported by Chef Elefante, who brings his own creative contribution after several years of professional growth in the kitchens of L’Olivo and Il Riccio in Capri. Head Chef Riccardo Valore completes L’Olivo’s Executive Kitchen Team with his long experience in France.

In conclusion, L’Olivo expresses a genuine and grounded idea of cuisine, measured in terms of tradition, modernity, sensitivity and expression, always open to new inputs.
