guest of the day, the night,
your light will linger

let this light guide you
sink into the warmth of these embers,
alight with welcome 

as strangeness dissolves, like tides
against the shore,
glistening in the waves – water and sound, alike –
light flickering like falcon wings and larks nature’s celestial embrace

gather in its warmth as it glows brighter
like a softly starlit shoreline
like a slowly fading sunset
like an everlasting fire
telling you “come closer”
