Jumeirah Mallorca is delighted to be hosting the next in its series of four-hands dinners, taking place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May at the hotel’s spectacular Es Fanals. The dinners will see Jumeirah Mallorca’s Executive Chef Javier Lopez join forces with three-Michelin-starred Belgian chef Viki Geunes to create a unique dining experience that encourages guests to connect over a love of food and flavour.
Sitting at the hotel’s highest point, Es Fanals – a Michelin Guide recommended restaurant – reimagines traditional Mallorcan cuisine with a modern touch, with each plate being an ode to the sea and land. Through this collaboration with Chef Viki Geunes, the restaurant’s cuisine will be further elevated, offering guests a unique dining experience that combines Lopez’s passion for Spanish flavours and ingredients with Geunes’ ability to blend traditional Belgian techniques with global influences.
Geunes is Chef-Owner of Zilte – one of Belgium’s top culinary destinations – which holds three Michelin stars, attracting guests from around the world. Working alongside his wife, daughter and son-in-law, Geunes has created a space where guests are greeted with a warm family welcome, before enjoying the unrivalled culinary experiences and impeccable service for which Zilte is so renowned.
At Zilte, Geunes works closely with local North Sea fishermen to cultivate short chain and local produce, curating menus which handpick the very best products for every dish. This passion for local produce mirrors Lopez’s own culinary inspirations, with Es Fanals’ menus focusing on local ingredients and flavours in a celebration of Mallorcan cuisine.
Es Fanals’ prime location on Jumeirah Mallorca’s ninth floor gives it a unique perspective on the island, with an open-air terrace offering unparalleled sunset views. The restaurant’s philosophy, under the direction of Executive Chef Javier Lopez, is to elevate the authentic flavours of the Balearic Islands, blending tradition and innovation to create exceptional dining experiences for guests.
