Chef Emre Kaya is the Head Chef at the Turkish-born steakhouse Butch Steakhouse & Grill, located in the heart of the bustling City Walk. With more than 16 years of experience in the industry, Emre owes his passion for the culinary world to his father who, from a young age, involved him behind the scenes at his restaurant. Helping his father around the kitchen and seeing him in his big chef whites, Emre decided to pursue a career in the industry, achieving a culinary bachelor’s degree from the Anatolian University. Emre worked his way up gaining valuable experience and learning exceptional skills. He moved to Dubai in 2015 to take on his current role at Butcha. Under his leadership, the quality and consistency are always of the highest standards with equally consistent and smooth service. Due to his exceptional knowledge about the products, he vets the suppliers routinely ensuring they are consistently providing premium products or looks at alternate options increase quality. Recently Chef Emre won the ‘Taste The Best’ Competition, run by City Walk, in 2021 for his tenderloin dish.
