From regal spas and invigorating workout classes, to delicious, healthy restaurants, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to upholding a healthy lifestyle in Dubai. Our wellness guide should give you everything you need to maintain a healthy body and mind, when staying in the city.

Feel the burn

A first stop for fitness fanatics should be Kite Beach, a gorgeous stretch of white sand that is a magnet for surfers and paddle boarders. With a state-of-the-art running track and volleyball courts, you can jog a few laps here before playing a game with friends or family. Another option is to try your hand at the beach’s namesake activity, the harder-than-it-looks sport of kite flying.

Stretch it out

Located in Silverene Tower, this fitness centre mixes stunning city views with exhilarating workouts including: fat burning cycle classes, barre (similar to ballet), and aerial yoga classes. At Zen Yoga studio in Media City, you’ll find the largest selection of yoga disciplines in Dubai. Pick from Ashtanga, Hatha and Vinyasa, as well as Pilates classes. Afterwards you can decompress with a soothing gong meditation or Tibetan sound bath.

Savour some spa time

Dubai is blessed with some of the world’s most luxurious spas. For some quality ‘me time’ head to the lush, tropical grounds of Jumeirah Al Qasr, and the sublime oasis of Talise Spa. The spa has a full menu of indulgent treatments to choose from, including the popular hot seashell or Balinese massages.

For a deluxe Dubai wellness experience, Talise Ottoman Spa at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a palatial sanctuary. This award-winning escape offers countless treatments, invigorating Thalassotherapy (seawater) pools, a relaxing Turkish hammam, steam rooms and snow rooms to cool down in.

Nourish yourself

Dubai’s health food restaurants and wellness-conscious cafés will help you recharge with nourishing, vitamin-packed cuisine. Chic concept store Comptoir 102’s gorgeous signature café serves up colourful, creative dishes that are seasonal and local as well as sugar- and dairy free. Try the sticky-sweet chia seed pudding with dates, vanilla, cinnamon and orange blossom, or the refreshing watermelon and feta salad.

For freshly prepared juices, Blends Juice Bar on The Walk concocts mouth-watering fruit and veg combinations. A must-try is their Arabian classic; a mix of dates, almond milk and low-fat yoghurt, the ultimate way to kick-start a fitness-focussed day in Dubai.
