Navigating through nature
Embark on an enlightening journey through the lush landscapes of Madinat Jumeirah with our expert-led Ecology Tour. Discover the innovative ways we sustainably grow and care for our gardens. Guests of all ages can engage in hands-on activities like helping us plant the seeds that will keep our gardens growing. In season, you can also sample Jumeirah’s locally grown dates as you explore our oasis by the ocean. Location: Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, between Arabian House 12 and the plant nursery Days: Monday and Wednesday on request Timing: 9:00am - 9:30am
The art of beekeeping
Explore the fascinating world of bees with Jumeirah’s immersive Bee Encounter at Madinat Jumeirah. This is your opportunity to safely meet our wild bees and learn about the pivotal role they play in sustaining biodiversity and balancing the ecosystem. You’ll even have the chance to check out the inside of their hives through our special camera. Location: Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, between Arabian House 12 and the plant nursery Days: Occurs every two weeks on Friday for a maximum of two guests at a time Timing: 6:00am in the summer and 7:00am in the winter
Ocean conservation in action
Visit Jumeirah Al Naseem Turtle Lagoon for an unforgettable experience with the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project and Coral Restoration Programme. At our daily Turtle Talks, you can learn about the critical role sea turtles play in maintaining a healthy marine ecosystem and why their conservation is important. Participate in feeding Jumeirah’s rehabilitating turtles and hear from our marine biologists about their inspiring recovery stories. At the same time, explore the coral nursery, where Jumeirah grows resilient Gulf corals to restore vital reef habitats. Location: Jumeirah Al Naseem Turtle Lagoon Days: Everyday Timing: 11am
Heritage in flight
Experience the majestic falcons and hawks, iconic symbols of Emirati heritage, with Jumeirah’s Falcon & Hawk Experience. Take a serene morning walk alongside these magnificent birds of prey and delve into the ancient art of falconry. Their graceful presence and the stories shared on this exclusive encounter are sure to leave you captivated. Location: Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, between Arabian House 12 and the plant nursery Days: Thursday and Friday on request Timing: Morning (please note you will need to book at least 2 hours in advance)
Seeds of sustainability
Contribute to our reforestation efforts with the Native Tree Planting Experience at Madinat Jumeirah. Plant some of the UAE’s indigenous trees such as Sidr, Ghaf, Acacia or Moringa, each of which symbolise resilience and vitality in the nation’s arid landscape. Guests will receive a sustainable kit including seeds and a gardening apron to continue their green journey after their stay. Help Jumeirah enrich the local environment and leave a lasting legacy for future generations by participating in this engaging activity, and play a part in nurturing the natural beauty of the region. Indulge in Jumeirah’s sophisticated and sustainable Turtle High Tea at Mandhar Lounge at Jumeirah Al Naseem. Celebrating two decades of turtle rehabilitation, this ocean-themed afternoon tea showcases the finest ingredients as guests delight in a curated menu of gourmet treats, pastries and savoury bites. Set against the tranquil backdrop of the Arabian Gulf, this exclusive experience is the perfect combination of culinary excellence and environmental stewardship. Proceeds support Jumeirah’s Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project, allowing guests to savour exquisite flavours while contributing to the educational efforts to protect sea turtles.
