Permits and Requirements


In accordance with the new commercial activities guidelines, all entities who intend to setup a conference/ seminar with speakers, exhibition, trade show, or any similar shows in hotels or any other venues in the Emirate must obtain a commercial permit from the Dubai Department of Economic Development. Without the proper commercial permits, the Hotel reserves the right to cancel the event.



Adding extras like music and entertainment can make your group’s experience all the more memorable.  The Hotel is pleased to be able to source for you a variety of entertainment opportunities from Jazz Quartets to Arabic Duos and Magicians to Jugglers. 

All music and entertainment provided in the ballroom must cease by 03.00am hours and outside venues by 23:00 hours.

  • The permitted sound level on Fort Island functions must not exceed 90 (Db) at any time.
  • The permitted sound level on Magnolia functions must not exceed 80 (Db) at any time.
  • The permitted sound level on Layali functions must not exceed 60 (Db) at any time
  • The permitted sound level on Terrace between the Towers must not exceed 50 (Db) at any time.
  • The permitted sound level on Events Arena/Sunset Garden must not exceed 90 (Db) at any time.
  • The permitted sound level on Jumeirah Creekside Hotel's Secret Garden must not exceed 90 (Db) at any time.


All function venues, aside from the ballrooms at the Conference Center or one of the Hotel restaurants, are considered as outside venues. 


As per the new DTCM regulations, all entertainment, except wedding and birthday celebrations, must apply for an entertainment permit. 


Entertainment Permissions - DTCM Rules and regulations

For any show or performance, we require the exact details of the performance, including, but not limited to the names of performers and participants. All live performances require permits/permissions issued from the offices of the DTCM.  It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that these are in place.  The Licensee has to submit the required documentation for this application no later than thirty (30) days prior to the first date of promotion or ticket sales of the event.  The Hotel reserves the right to cancel the Event if DTCM permissions are not in place, copies having been submitted to our offices.



All product launches should have the permission from the Department of Economic Development.



All Property launches should have the permission from both Real Estate Regulatory Authority (“RERA”) and Department of Economic Development.  RERA has responsibility for, among other matters, implementing the escrow regulations.  RERA is established pursuant to Law No. 14 of 2007 and is formed under the umbrella of the Dubai Land Department (“Land Department”) with authority to regulate the real estate sector in Dubai.
