Maldives, 19 April 2018: British organic skincare brand, ila®, is set to launch the first Apothecary Concierge at Jumeirah Vittaveli, Maldives, during the resort’s Talise wellness month in June 2018. The ila Apothecary Concierge provides guests with an in-room spa experience and is the first personalised wellness service of its kind in the Maldives.
To mark the launch, founder of ila, Denise Leicester, will lead an exclusive wellness retreat at Jumeirah Vittaveli from June 23-27, 2018. Guests can take part in peaceful sound healing sessions which encourages the body to switch from alpha to beta, silencing stressful thoughts and allowing healing as a result of sound vibrations. Guests can also enjoy sunrise yoga, enjoy pre-ordered remedy boxes, in-room consultations and treatments.
The Jumeirah Vittaveli’s wellness month will also include fitness and yoga programmes, Aerial Yoga, group and private Pilates sessions, personal fitness trainer assessments, exercise schedules including Thai Kickboxing and island circuit classes. The wellness retreat will be complemented by Talise nutrition menus.

The Apothecary Concierge Journey
Guests who book the retreat will be contacted by the Apothecary Concierge team pre-arrival to discuss bespoke in-room treatment requirements and the ila apothecary product range. Following a short consultation, the Apothecary Concierge prescribes the personalised ila treatments and remedy boxes or products to deliver to the guest’s room on arrival. All guests can benefit from Jet Lag Remedies such as the Digital Face Mist, Beat the Blues Room Spray and muscle relaxing Magnesium Bath Salts to enjoy in the private haven of a Private Ocean Retreat or the five-bedroom Royal Residence at Jumeirah Vittaveli.
Apothecary Concierge offers in-room treatments, including SOS Deep Tissue and Feminine Happy Oil massages as well as Silk Supreme and Deep Cleansing facials. Apothecary Concierge also offers guests a Magnesium & Amethyst Deep Relax Bath Soak by the Bath Butler. For all in-room treatments, expert Apothecary Concierge therapists will arrive at the guest’s room 15 minutes pre-treatment to perform a private consultation. Post-treatment, the Apothecary Concierge will recommend a personalised prescription detailing the ila apothecary products recommended for use. All products prescribed will be available to purchase directly from the Apothecary Concierge tricycle, which delivers products direct to the room.
Apothecary Concierge in-room rituals are available to pre-order or to purchase during a guest stay. Rituals are about making the time to de-stress, rebalance and reconnect. Creating a spa experience in the bathroom by soaking in a bath of warm water with cleansing salts and essential oils is a time-honoured ritual for restoration and self-applying heavenly-scented nurturing oils and balms is a sacred ritual to help slow down the mind.
