Dubai, 22 January 2015: Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian Resort of Dubai, has sponsored the education of five children at Al Noor Training Centre for Students with Special Needs using funds raised during the Souk Festive Market.
At a special reception on Monday 19 January at the centre in Al Barsha, Dubai, a cheque for AED 125,100 was presented to Al Noor by Margaret Paul, Madinat Jumeirah’s Resort General Manager and Andy Cuthbert, General Manager of Jumeirah Hospitality, Conferences and Events.
The donation was generated through a gingerbread decorating activity that was generously supported by Dubai residents during the Souk Festive Market held from 10 to 17 December 2014. The money raised will sponsor the education of five students at the Al Noor Training Centre and change their lives forever.
Margaret Paul, Madinat Jumeirah Resort General Manager, said: “We were overwhelmed by the support we received from the community in aid of this initiative during the Souk Festive Market and it gives us great pleasure to contribute to the lives of students at Al Noor Training Centre through their education.”
A guiding light for the community, Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs helps individuals, regardless of background, reach their full potential through professional training and care. Established in 1981, Al Noor has the ability to change lives by helping to integrate children with special needs into society.
