Jumeirah hotels around the world win TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence

Dubai, 10 June 2015: Jumeirah hotels around the world are celebrating after receiving prestigious TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence.

Now in their fifth year, the TripAdvisor awards celebrate hospitality excellence and are given only to establishments which consistently achieve outstanding reviews.

Alison Broadhead, Chief Commercial Officer, Jumeirah Group, said: “Our brand is built on the experiences guests have when they stay in our hotels and dine in our restaurants.  In this ‘word of mouth’ economy, it’s extremely important that guests share their experiences with others and TripAdvisor is a great facilitator of that, which is why we are proud of the TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence received by Jumeirah hotels around the world.”

In Dubai, certificates were awarded to Jumeirah Mina A'Salam, Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Burj Al Arab Jumeirah won for the third consecutive time and the restaurants Al Mahara and Skyview Bar in Burj Al Arab Jumeirah were also recognised. Latitude restaurant at Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Mosaico restaurant at Jumeirah Emirates Towers were both awarded a certificate and Jumeirah Emirates Towers won for the fifth consecutive year, gaining a Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame.

For the fourth consecutive year, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers received the certificate in recognition of the hotel’s consistent delivery of highly personalised services to guests. Ray’s Bar was honoured for the third time in a row and Observation Deck at 300 - the highest vantage point in Abu Dhabi - welcomed the certificate for the second time. The award-winning restaurants BiCE, Brasserie Angélique, Li Beirut, Nahaam and Rosewater were presented with the same recognition for the second year in a row and Tori No Su achieved its first certificate.

Jumeirah hotels around the world were also successful including Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa in Mallorca, Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai, Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel, Baku, Jumeirah Grand Hotel Via Veneto in Rome and Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait. Jumeirah Frankfurt received a certificate for the hotel and signature restaurant Max on One. Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah and Agatha Restaurant were also recognised with certificates.

In London, Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living was recognised with a certificate and both Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel were welcomed into the Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame. This unique accolade is only granted to businesses that have won the Certificate of Excellence for five years in a row.

In the Maldives, Jumeirah Dhevanafushi received the prestigious certificate for the fifth consecutive year and Jumeirah Vittaveli won the award for the third consecutive year.

When selecting the recipients of a Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers over a 12-month period. Additional criteria include the business’s tenure and ranking on the popularity index of the site. To qualify for the award, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
