London, 19 May 2015: Jumeirah Carlton Tower is celebrating the start of the summer season and the world famous Chelsea Flower Show with a stunning floral afternoon tea at Chinoiserie, the hotel’s popular lounge.
The hotel’s executive chef, Simon Young, has designed a delectable menu including a rosewater and raspberry flower tart, a mini plant pot filled with chocolate mousse, or orange blossom and golden raisin scones. The coconut and pineapple delice and elderflower and chocolate window box are a treat for the senses; a fusion of creative and culinary genius.
Savouries include brioche filled buns with roast peppered beef and watercress, saffron bread with Laverstoke Park mozzarella and Sussex goat’s cheese and lemon thyme muffin with Loch Fyne smoked salmon.
The hustle and bustle of city life will soon be forgotten upon entering Chinoiserie, where the harpist will perform from 3pm to 6pm daily. Whether it’s reconnecting with old friends, relaxing following a day’s shopping on Sloane Street, embarking on a family outing, celebration or indulging in some ‘you time’, the lounge’s opulent interiors and soothing ambience are the perfect backdrop for any occasion.
