Madinat Jumeirah unveils infographic to mark resort’s tenth anniversary
Dubai, 09 November 2014: Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian Resort of Dubai, has launched an interactive infographic to commemorate its tenth anniversary mapping its history against the UAE’s rich heritage.
The presentation follows a timeline format which begins at dawn and ends with an evening view of the spectacular Dubai skyline. It features 10 key facts illustrating the continuous development of Madinat Jumeirah and Dubai, demonstrating how both have changed over the last decade.

To mark the anniversary of the resort, which is inspired by the rich heritage of Dubai, we selected 10 fascinating facts about this vibrant city. Each fact reflects its dynamic nature representing how much Dubai has grown to become one of the most exciting and phenomenal destinations in the world.”
Key milestones and interesting facts reveal the traditional wooden abra boats, which were inspired by water taxis on Dubai Creek, have ferried more than 3.3 million visitors around the waterways of Madinat Jumeirah since the luxurious five-star resort opened in 2005.
Since 2004, the capacity of Dubai International Airport has increased from 21 million people to 75 million in 2014, which emphasises the scale of Dubai’s growth and development.
Madinat Jumeirah, which supports the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project (DTRP) with two outdoor turtle pens at Mina A’Salam, has released more than 700 critically endangered sea turtles since its launch in 2004.
Madinat Jumeirah is proud to celebrate its success and achievements in line with the rich heritage and cultural diversity of the city it was inspired by - dynamic Dubai.
