Shanghai, June 3 2014: Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai has introduced a new level of exclusive comfort with the unveiling of its premium butler services and impressive new Club Floor
Located on the penthouse’s 21st floor of the Pudong landmark, the Club Floor features seven Club Suites including five duplex suites, a spacious Club Lounge, two exclusive meeting rooms, plus a private rooftop feng shui garden. For the comfort and convenience of guests, there is a dedicated reception for the Club Floor.
Accessed via a dedicated elevator from the lobby, the 21st floor has a unique ambience created by a fusion of Chinese cultural elements, contemporary design and art pieces by distinguished Chinese artists. The soaring 2.48-metre-high ceilings give the Club Floor an air of grandeur.
Inspired by a Chinese palace garden, guests meander along ‘garden corridors’ lined with polished wood columns and topped with a classic timber-beam peaked roof. Green shrubs, contemporary lanterns and Shanghai grey-brick pavers enhance the garden feel.
Extending the ‘art hotel’ concept for which Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai is renowned, the Club Floor also features a large collection of contemporary Chinese art with a nature theme. Artworks by well-known Chinese artist, such as Yao Jin Fa (姚锦发) and Qiu Zhi Jie (邱志杰) are also on sale.
New Duplex Chairman’s and Infinity Suites
Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai ’s spectacular new duplex suites are located on the 21st floor, including four one-bedroom Infinity Suites covering 138 sqm each, and a 310 sqm two-bedroom Chairman’s Suite. Oversized doorways with traditional carved stone plaques provide an impressive entrance to each suite. Inside, the open-plan contemporary design comprises soaring ceilings in the living room and a 6.1-metre-high wall of windows showcasing city views.
The suites are characterised by custom-made contemporary furnishings inspired by Ming dynasty designs, a Zen rock garden and eye-catching Chinese objects d’art.Cutting-edge amenities include 50-inch LCD TVs in the living room and bedroom, Illy coffee machine and tea making facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi and broadband internet access. Luxurious marble bathrooms feature oversized tubs and L’Occitane bath products.
The two-bedroom Chairman’s Suite spans 310 sqm and also features its own open kitchen and bar, a dining table seating eight guests, and an executive desk positioned according to feng shui principles and offering city views.
The Jumeirah Himalayas Personalised Butler Service is unique in the Shanghai market and creates a luxurious Suite Experience. From pre-arrival to departure, guests are looked after day and night, all requests are handled quickly and service is tailored to the individual, creating and capturing style and value for Jumeirah Himalayas guests.
The Suite Experience includes: special room and bathroom amenities: a prearranged guest experience planner with pre-specified preferences, alerts and reservations for spas, restaurants, transportation and meeting-room bookings, pillow preferences and allergy alerts; a complimentary mini bar; and an innovative shopping assistance service, Chinese market visits or deal hunting for which Shanghai is so famous.
New Jumeirah Club Lounge
With an entrance in the style of a traditional Chinese moon gate, the 388 sqm Club Lounge on the 21st floor provides an exclusive retreat and personalised services for Club guests staying on the 18th to 21st floors. The residential-styled lounge offers comfortable spaces to work, socialise or relax. Grey-brick walls repurposed from old Shanghai alleys, polished wood floors and Chinese artworks are offset by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the modern Shanghai skyline.
Club Lounge guests can enjoy complimentary international buffet breakfasts, all-day refreshments, afternoon snacks and evening aperitifs from the open kitchen and dessert counter. Other exclusive privileges include use of the private Club Lounge boardroom for two hours per stay, private library, plus personalised check-in/out and 24-hour concierge services, as well as complimentary pressing of up to two garments upon arrival.
Two additional private meeting rooms are located on the Club Floor offering ultimate exclusivity.
