Emiratisation is a top priority for Jumeirah Group - Jumeirah takes part in Careers UAE 2013

Dubai, April 28 2013: Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, is participating in the UAE’s annual careers fair which takes place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 30th April - 2nd May 2013.  

Potential candidates will be able to engage in face-to-face interviews on the stand where senior management and Emirati representatives from Jumeirah’s different departments will be present, including human resources, operations, security, communications, marketing and others. UAE nationals can enrich their experience by working in a multicultural environment and interacting with over 140 different nationalities.

With the highest percentage of Emiratis working in the hotel industry, Jumeirah is fully committed to hiring, developing and retaining Emiratis who are keen to start and develop a career in hospitality and tourism. Hospitality is a an important part of UAE culture and the Emiratis in Jumeirah are the ambassadors of hospitality. Three years ago Jumeirah started a National Development Management Programme as an initiative to educate and train Emiratis to become future leaders in this sector.

The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, which forms part of Jumeirah Group, offers a scholarship programme for Emirati students who are looking for an internationally recognised Bachelor degree in business and hospitality accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Scholarship applicants must have a minimum requirement entry of 75% and proficiency in English language. The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management works with various government entities to prepare and train UAE Nationals for entry-level employment within the hospitality and tourism industry.

Jumeirah’s participation in the careers fair supports the Group’s national development programme, which aims at recruiting the best Emirati talent to help build a new generation of UAE Nationals to lead the hospitality sector.
