Jumeirah opens Grosvenor House Apartments on Park Lane, London

Dubai, 08 February 2012: Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, will open a new concept in luxury accommodation on Park Lane in London - The Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living. These exclusive “hotel residences” combine the services of a five-star Jumeirah hotel with the discretion and privacy of an exclusive Mayfair residence, appealing to high net worth individuals looking for a more private form of luxury and an immediate sense of home. 

The Grosvenor House Apartments are the first exclusive hotel residences to be opened in London and offer discerning clientele a highly personalised service with luxurious amenities, full business services and flexible accommodation.  Services include 24-hour Concierge, daily maid service, At Home Business Solutions with an executive boardroom, gym, 24-hour in-residence dining, secured access and Spa Illuminata At Home treatments. 

Located in the iconic Lutyens building dating from the 1920s, it comprises 133 apartments which range in price from £450 a night for a studio through to £11,000 for the five bedroom penthouse (over 4,800 square feet).  Apartments may be reserved for either short or long stays and are priced accordingly.  They will appeal to business travellers, the international community, their families and those looking for a luxurious home away from home, in a prime location on Park Lane.

The Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living have four spacious and luxurious single strata penthouses on the top floor, a unique offering in London.  They have private lift access and their own separate state-of-the-art Poggenpohl kitchens, glamorous dining and sitting rooms – ideally sized for entertaining - as well as a study area, media room and stylish bedrooms.  The penthouses feature private balconies which enable residents to make the most of the impressive views over Park Lane and the rooftops of Mayfair, as well as the use of a self-drive Aston Martin Rapide house car. 

Many of the remaining apartments overlook Hyde Park or Mayfair, whilst others have colonial-style shutters opening onto the new striking seven-storey vaulted Atrium which is available for residents and their guests for informal all-day dining.

The stylish interiors combine classic British design with dark oak timber flooring and more contemporary touches, including tailored wall panelling, oversized stone bathrooms, Dartington glassware and Royal Doulton china.  The Residences incorporate state-of-the-art technology, with an iPad in every room connecting to The Resident Concierge.

Regardless of length of stay, the highly-customised experience delivered to residents is designed to create an immediate sense of home.  Preparations for arrivals often begin weeks in advance, with the Residences team proactively anticipating needs, preferences and individual requirements. Reservations for Grosvenor House Apartments are currently being accepted for stays from 20th February, with a full opening on 2nd April 2012.

The Butler service offers residents a personalised approach to the best in Mayfair and London, with a promise to respond to any request within five minutes, 24 hours a day.  Residents on the 7th and 8th floors have a team of on-call butlers ready to assist with packing and unpacking as well as catering to residents’ every need, including weekly grocery shopping.

At Home with Jumeirah Living services will provide residents with customised 5-star hotel services to take full advantages of the unique possibilities offered by residential-style accommodation, such as partnerships with leading Mayfair restaurants which will recreate their dining experience within the private residences themselves.

The At Home Featured Resident Programme will see artists and other noteworthy individuals make the Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living their temporary home, providing them with an opportunity to share their art, insights and perspectives through interactive events that will be made available exclusively to Residents and their guests.
