Quay Skillz is the UAE’s first youth health and fitness facility designed to engage young people between 7 and 16 years of age in sports science and physical activity.

The concept has been developed by an international team of sports science experts, supported by a worldwide network of pioneering companies fighting against global obesity. Quay Skillz uses a wide selection of ergonomically designed, cutting-edge equipment that are combined with a highly personalised and fun approach to exercise, delivered by a team of school teachers, sports science experts and athletes.

Quay Skillz is open daily with timetabled group activities, fitness and sport classes. The club also offers personal training sessions alongside rapid progression courses that offer elite sports specific programme packages.

High Altitude Suite

In partnership with LowOxygen® Systems, Jumeirah is providing a new state-of-the-art High Altitude Suite within the Quay Healthclub.

Through a careful control of air pressure and oxygen levels, the suite can recreate conditions of altitudes reaching of up to 4,500 metres. Users of the suite have access to a selection of exercise equipment including treadmills, rowing machines and weight-lifting equipment.

Also referred to as hypoxic training, high altitude training operates on the principle that as altitude increases, air pressure decreases and less oxygen is available for the human body. This can leads to a greater productivity of red blood cells and therefore improved heart health alongside numerous other health benefits such as better utilisation of nutrients within muscles and tissues and increased weight loss.

Rock Climbing Wall

Situated on the nearby courtyard and terraces of The Quay Healthclub, the climbing area includes three rock boulders as well as a traversing section.
Constructed to provide varying levels of difficulty, its ten independent predominantly vertical climbing lines rise to a height of 6.4 metres and are equipped with small overhangs and bulges to provide an exhilarating experience. The rock climbing wall is accessible for children above the age of seven years while the boulders and traversing section are open for those above the age of four years. The Rock-climbing wall is inclusive of membership of the club and in-house guests. For non members the climbing wall costs AED 70 per hour.

Annual Gym Membership is AED 14.500 (single) and AED 18,000 (couple). Family membership starts at AED 24,000 plus joining fee  with youth and junior fees costing AED 7,500 and AED 6,000 respectively.
