Rivington Grill Diners to be Treated to Taste of The Ivy Ahead of Launch in Dubai


An Ivy Evening at Rivington Grill

Dubai, 22 March 2011: Rivington Grill Dubai diners will be treated to an exclusive menu on 30 March created by Gary Lee, Head Chef of The Ivy in London. The one-off dinner will be a preview of the culinary delights on offer at The Ivy in Dubai,when it opens in late spring.

For The Ivy evening at Rivington Grill Dubai, Lee, who has been Head Chef at The Ivy London for four years, has designed a menu that reflects his love of international cuisine and contemporary British food.

For starters, diners will be able to select from carpaccio of venison with citrus and rosemary dressing; potato gnocchi with broad beans, pea shoots and pesto tomatoes;hoisin spiced duck salad with watermelon and chilli roasted cashews; and bang bang chicken with hot peanut sauce.

For mains, the choice will be from fillet of cod with surf clams, sea vegetables and vermouth; risotto primavera; Thai-baked bass with tamari, mirin and wild ginger; and char grilled veal chop with asparagus and anchovy butter.

On offer for dessert will be Bolivian wild chocolate and clementine bombe; Scandinavian iced berries with hot white chocolate sauce; lemon assiette; and elderflower jelly with rippled ice cream.

Located at The Boulevard at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, The Ivy will offer a brasseriestylemenu with a selection of Ivy classics, including its world famous shepherd’s pie andbang bang chicken. For the more adventurous diner, it will also offer dishes that reflectthe region’s spices, aromas and traditions.

The Ivy in Dubai will share the same standards of food, ambience and service as The Ivy in London, but also feature the best that Dubai has to offer. An ideal place for lunch, dinner or simply a drink at the bar, it will have a terrace and, for a more intimate dining experience, a private room accommodating up to 16 people.

The Ivy will be the first of the Caprice Holdings restaurants to open in the Middle East since the announcement in August 2010 of a partnership that will see Jumeirah Restaurants rolling out Caprice Holdings’ brands across the region.

The critically acclaimed and hugely popular Rivington Grill, located at The Souk Al Bahar,Level 3, Old Town at Downtown Burj Khalifa, brings authentic British seasonal flavours to the Middle East. With its hallmarks of quality and simplicity in food and beverage, as well as design and service, it was the first Caprice Holdings restaurant to open in Dubai under the management of Jumeirah Restaurants LLC, a division of Dubai-based luxury hospitality company Jumeirah Group.
