A trip to Dubai isn’t complete without a ride on a traditional abra boat or lavish afternoon tea. Luckily, Jumeirah Al Qasr has found a magical way to combine both experiences with the newly-launched Abra Afternoon Tea.
Taking place between 4pm and 6pm daily, the unique afternoon teatime experience invites guests to board a private abra and journey through the winding waterways of Madinat Jumeirah. With views of the resort’s lush surroundings and striking architecture, it’s the perfect way to spend a late afternoon.
During the ride, sample the high-tea which puts an Arabic spin on classic pastry and savoury favourites. Served straight on the abra itself, guests can indulge in Arabic and Mediterranean finger foods such as hummus sandwiches, labneh rolls, and muhammara cones as well as chicken and tuna sandwiches.
For the ever-important desserts, guests can enjoy homemade pastries and Middle Eastern inspired delicacies such as strawberry rose and mango saffron macarons, pistachio vanilla cupcakes, and Kunafa fruit tarts.
The Abra journey lasts around one hour and is the perfect setting for all celebrations and special occasions, or ideal for a relaxed day to bask in the golden hour before sunset.
Abra Afternoon Tea is served embarking from the closest Abra station to Jumeirah Al Qasr with a boat capacity of two adults and one child per boat. The package includes one glass of champagne per person, sandwiches, English scones and designer small cakes and is priced at AED766 per couple.
