Everything you need to know about Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort
13 Dec 2018

Nestled on the pristine shores of Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, this is a luxury beachfront Resort which overlooks 400 metres of beautiful white sand on the Arabian Gulf. It offers a front-row seat to breathtakingly beautiful scenery and undisturbed wildlife.

Here’s everything you need to know.

1.The Resort offers a wonderful chance to see wildlife

Depending on the season, you may catch a glimpse of Indo-pacific humpback and bottle nose dolphins, green or hawksbill turtles and dugongs, which live in the nearby Saadiyat Mangroves. More inland, gazelles, socotra cormorants, grey herons and greater flamingos are known to visit.

2. It’s eco-conscious and plastic straw free

Environmentally-friendly practices at the Resort go beyond preserving the island's protected sand dunes - Jumeirah has partnered with Dubai-based water treatment company Trust Your Water to reduce single-use plastics. You’ll be offered locally-sourced filtered (still and sparkling) water in a personal reusable bottle that can be refilled at the resort’s water stations. The resort has also eliminated the use of plastic straws, favouring straws made from recycled material.

3.Location, location, location

The Resort is just a 10 minute drive from Abu Dhabi city centre and once there, you can explore the island’s 9kms of mesmerising white beach and the crystal clear waters of the Arabian Gulf. The resort is also only 10 minutes away from Yas Island, famous for hosting the annual Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Mall (the second largest mall in the UAE) and world-class theme parks including Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World and the recently opened Warner Bros. World.

4.Golf aficionados can enjoy the close proximity to Saadiyat Beach Golf Club

This is the Arabian Gulf’s first beachfront course, so you can enjoy teeing off with stunning sea views.

5.It’s perfect for honeymooners and families

Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort provides a luxurious and environmentally-sensitive holiday, perfect for anyone looking for an island escape.

6.The rooms are modern, sunlit and beautiful

Rooms overlook the Arabian Gulf and the panoramic suites offer floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies.

7.The Resort also offers three outdoor infinity pools

There’s also a kids' pool and fitness fanatics will love the Bodyism Wellness Centre, the very first to open in the United Arab Emirates.

8.Duplex villas offer an even more luxurious experience

You can choose from private 2, 3 and 4-bedroom duplex villas, all with private pools.

9.The lavish Spa means there’s no limit to relaxation

Rejuvenate in the 2,700 square metre haven of tranquillity and relax in quiet sophistication. Features include a grand Moroccan hammam, 15 treatment rooms (with male and female facilities), saunas, hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms, salt rooms, experience showers and a traditional Arabic rasul room - a cleansing ritual which promises to leave spa lovers feeling relaxed with beautifully exfoliated skin. Guests staying in the Spa Villas can even enjoy pampering experiences in the privacy on their own room.

10.Choose from globally inspired dining options

The Resort offers restaurants and lounges from Arabic flavours at Levantine-inspired TEAN, poolside lunches with refreshing drinks at the pool bar or al fresco options at Mare Mare which serves fine Italian cuisine. At White, the resort’s chic all day dining restaurant, you’ll find local and international dishes and live cooking stations. Guests looking for a more authentic experience can dine in Majlis Saadiyat which offers the warmth of Arab hospitality and a premium selection of refreshments, tea, coffee and delicious pastries.

11.Saadiyat Island is undergoing a remarkable transformation

This is fast becoming a world-class leisure, culturally connected and residential destination. Look out for The Louvre Abu Dhabi, also located on the island, which will be joined by the Zayed National Museum and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi making the island a hub for global culture, arts and entertainment.
