Pearl Journey

Pearl Journey

“When guests are looking for a true taste of the Middle East, I usually recommend a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque or a desert safari. Anyone looking for a more magical experience can go in search of pearls in the eastern mangroves of the Arabian Gulf.”

During the ‘Pearl Journey’ guests board a traditional dhow boat and learn about the ancient pearl industry which was once the main source of income in the UAE. During the trip, guests can try Arabic coffee and dates before divers jump into the waters and bring up a selection of oysters. Guests are given one to open and if a pearl is found, it can be kept as a souvenir.
