Set to the backdrop of Mallorca’s mesmerising Tramuntana mountainscape, our hotel is a place where dreams come to life. The Tramuntana Terrace and Sunset Lounge each allow you to tailor your wedding to your vision. Whether you're drawn to the natural beauty of the outdoors or have always envisioned an intimate ceremony at golden hour, your love story will unfold exactly the way you imagine it to. Below, newlyweds Victoria Wilson and Sam Clark can attest to this. They sat down with us to share their advice for planning a wedding in Mallorca, as well as the details that made their wedding at Jumeirah Mallorca in Mallorca unforgettable.
Over time, we were inspired by various details that we wanted to incorporate into our day. However, Mallorca and Jumeirah Mallorca itself had very much influenced our theme. Our theme was classic and elegant, much like Jumeirah’s decor. Keeping things mostly white with foliage enabled our guests to enjoy the captivating views and for the amazing setting to be the big focus.
I visited Mallorca with my family many times when I was growing up, as my parents have a holiday home on the south of the island. From a young age, I already knew it was the ideal place for my dream wedding. Jumeirah’s hotel was a dream come true when I first laid eyes on it around 5 years ago on a boat trip, and we continued to visit for many dinners over the years. Sam knew the hotel had become a special place and proposed right on the terrace with a private dinner, where we then went on to host our wedding just under two years later. The location was never a question. Port de Sóller, especially Jumeirah’s hotel, is one of our favourite places in the world.
The events team was amazing throughout. We had a friendly relationship with them which helped us feel comfortable when asking questions and seeking reassurance (which they provided numerous times). The menu and wine tasting were a very lovely highlight of the planning - we loved meeting the chef who was very passionate about our selections and choices.
Even though it took place in the hotel, the whole wedding day felt very private. There were next to no interactions with other hotel guests, which was something we had worried about. All of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, making our wedding guests feel so welcome. Other things to mention were the small touches the team helped with. Providing fans for our guests, being on hand for anything, keeping everything comfortably on time and facilitating drinks at the evening reception.
Our wedding day was genuinely the best day of our lives and there is not one thing we would change about it. It was fun, intimate and the most special setting most of our guests have ever been to.
We stayed in the Observatory Suite the night of our wedding and the night after that–this was phenomenal and a lovely treat after the hotel. We then went to a mountain view room for a further 2 nights to experience a different view (although the room's view had obstruction of a wall, the room was still nice). The hotel provided exceptional service throughout our whole stay and the facilities are second to none.
The events team surprised us with two bottles of Moët in the observatory suite upon arrival which was such a lovely treat.
Our day was amazing, but if I had to pinpoint one thing it would be the views of the terrace and sunset lounge. You cannot experience these anywhere else. The location’s sense of exclusivity made it feel even more special.
The food–a lot of people spoke about it afterwards. Our guests were very impressed. The sunset was also a big talking point. An open bar all day also worked very well. Our DJ, Angel Rod Music, and Saxophonist, Manu A. Blaser, were very fun and fit into our vibe perfectly for the evening celebration.
The whole day was the smoothest experience we could have wished for. I cannot think back to one negative part.
In the week leading up to the wedding, our guests were arriving in Port de Sóller for various pre-wedding events which hold great memories. Our day was a dream come true. But the four nights at the hotel after the wedding–which was just Sam and I–is a very special memory to us.
