Dining is one of life’s great pleasures – a ritual that brings people together, stirs memories, and awakens the senses. It is where artistry meets emotion, where a single dish can tell a story or spark a conversation that continues to unfold long after the table has been cleared. At Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, this universal language of food reaches its most inspiring expression. Within the shimmering sail of Dubai’s global icon, each restaurant offers more than just a meal – it offers an experience shaped by craftmanship, culture, passion, and creativity.
Each of the hotel’s acclaimed restaurants tells its own story, from sun-drenched terraces that dance to the rhythm of the sea to elegant dining rooms suspended high above the city. Here, flavours travel from the Mediterranean coast to the heart of Arabia, brought to life by chefs who have honed their craft in some of the world’s finest kitchens. The result is a journey that reflects Dubai itself – dynamic, daring, and endlessly inspired.
SAL
SAL captures the essence of barefoot luxury on a breathtaking terrace, where southern European flavours meet Dubai’s coastal glamour. Set within a contemporary mirrored pavilion, the restaurant reflects the gleaming architecture of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and the shimmering expanse of the Arabian Gulf beyond. Inside, a calming palette of white, beige, and natural wood complements the play of light and reflection, creating a tranquil space that feels both intimate and ethereal. As the day fades, a gentle breeze sweeps through the terrace, framing golden sunsets that seem to merge sea and sky.
At the helm, Head Chef Vincenzo Nigro curates a menu inspired by the Iberian Peninsula - a celebration of sea-inspired dishes designed for sharing. From grilled and salt-crusted fish to shellfish in bright, flavourful sauces and seasonal pastas reminiscent of Portugal and Spain’s coastal kitchens, each plate captures the spirit of Mediterranean dining: elegant, simple, and made to be savoured together.
Al Muntaha
Perched 27 floors above Dubai, Al Muntaha lives up to its name – the ‘highest’ or the ‘ultimate’ in Arabic – both in elevation and ambition. Suspended some 200 metres above the Arabian Gulf, the Michelin Guide 2025 recognised restaurant, delivers sweeping panoramas of the Palm Jumeirah coastline and the city’s glittering skyline. Within this lofty setting Michelin-starred Chef Saverio Sbaragli presents a refined fusion of modern French and Italian cuisine, where every dish is rooted in precision, elegance, and emotional resonance.
Sbaragli’s pedigree is notable: once under the wing of culinary giants like renowned three-Michelin-star Chef Alain Ducasse, he refined his craft in elite kitchens across Europe. At Al Muntaha he channels that experience into menus with his dishes expressing a dedication to locally sourced ingredients, often drawing on the best of the UAE’s rising produce scene. For example, he crafts a tomato-focused course that presents this simple fruit in five distinct variations – a homage to his roots and a statement of kitchen sophistication.. Sbaragli believes deeply in choosing taste over purely aesthetic presentation, yet he strives for both when possible.
For a captivating evening, book a table just as the city's lights begin to glimmer after dusk.
Ristorante L’ Olivo at Al Mahara
At award-winning Ristorante L'Olivo at Al Mahara, diners step into a poetic dialogue between cuisine and the sea. The restaurant brings to life an exquisite reinterpretation of Capri’s renowned two-Michelin star L’Olivo, under the direction of Executive Director Andrea Migliaccio, who carries his island roots into the heart of Dubai. Located beside a tropical reef aquarium, the setting feels immersive, elegant and otherworldly – all at once. The decor continues this underwater narrative, with a mother-of-pearl bar and a hostess stand shaped like a golden seashell. Overhead, a chandelier evokes the delicate tentacles of an octopus, while another draws inspiration from shipwrecked coins.
At Al Mahara Migliaccio explores the textures and flavours of the sea through inventive Mediterranean and Italian dishes with the choice of dining from a 7-course signature menu or opting for the 7-course farmer tasting menu.
A chef’s favourite: L’Elica con frutti di mare, triglia, astice e prezzemolo – first introduced at L’Olivo Capri in 2021, the dish is a heartfelt tribute to Chef Andrea Migliaccio’s island heritage. Featuring seafood, red mullet, and lobster, it captures the flavours that have long graced his family’s table during festive gatherings and special occasions, evoking both memory and Mediterranean soul.
Al Iwan
Al Iwan, which means 'royal dining hall' in Arabic, embodies Arabian hospitality at its most elegant. Situated on the first floor beneath the soaring atrium of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, it welcomes guests into a sumptuous realm of warm tones, gilded accents, and traditional arabesque ornamentation. Santos drapes, mosaic motifs, mirrored pillars, and touches of gold all speak to a vision of regal luxury, while ambient lighting softens the grandeur into intimacy.
The menu presents a timeless array of mezze, signature hot and cold dishes, grills and classic Levantine delicacies - designed for sharing. Guests might begin with silky hummus, Fattoush, stuffed vine leaves and smoked aubergine spreads, before moving onto specialities such as lamb kibbeh, cheese rocakat, and mixed grills.
Al Iwan opens for both lunch and dinner, making it a steady anchor in the hotel’s gastronomic lineup.
Sahn Eddar
True to its name, meaning 'reception of the house' in Arabic, Sahn Eddar is a magnificent lobby lounge supported by grand floral arrangements, marble pillars, and the gentle flourish of classical piano or harp music.
Here the culinary team of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab re-imagines classic Afternoon Tea with a ‘Taste of Les Desserts’ experience. A Tea Sommelier guides guests through an expansive curation of teas, while savouring delicate blinis topped with crab and caviar. Sandwiches are crafted with unexpected pairings, from chicken, green apple and celery with curry and saffron mayonnaise, to foie gras paired with mango and blueberry jam and a hint of star anise. Following warm scones with clotted cream and homemade preserves, a beautiful selection of sweet bites arrives with the option to indulge in one of Sahn Eddar’s most striking touches – the signature gold cappuccino – made from 100% Arabica coffee and blended with 24-carat gold.
Les Desserts
Recognised in La Liste’s ‘Pastry Talent of the Year’ 2025 award, French-born Head Pastry Chef Tom Coll brings a lifetime of passion and expertise to Les Desserts. His story is one of unwavering dedication, honed through years in Michelin-starred kitchens and celebrated establishments. Now, at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, he channels his vision into every creation, infusing exquisite pastries with a personal story and an emotional artistry. The boutique resembles a gallery: each pastry is displayed as its own work of art.
Set against a backdrop of Italian white marble counters and gleaming 24-carat gold finishes, the desserts appear to float - thanks to clever, concealed stands - and invite admiration even before the first bite. The signature offerings span from vibrantly tart raspberry tarts to luxurious pistachio religieuses, mango cheesecakes, vanilla-tonka caramel dice and more, with a nod to the Lemon Flower Yuzu and Eucalyptus - Chef Tom Coll’s personal favourite.
An Evening in the Clouds
Standing as twin destinations for those seeking more than just a beverage, Gilt and Skyview Bar & Lounge offer an immersive experience of design, atmosphere, and imaginative mixology.
At Gilt, glamour reigns. The space dazzles in a warm glow, anchored by a golden bar set against a wall of white marble threaded with gold, mirrored surfaces doubling light and depth, and lush greenery softening the metallic sheen. Deep sapphire and velvet seating invite patrons to settle in, sip slowly, and take in the panoramic views of Dubai’s lights and the Arabian Gulf. Under the guidance of mixologists like Thibault Méquignon, the bar presents a dynamic, ever-evolving menu focused on fresh ingredients, bold flavour combinations, and theatrical presentation.
A few steps away, Skyview Lounge offers a contrasting but complementary mood - more understated, yet no less striking. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame endless views of Dubai’s skyline and coastline. The beverage offerings are equally inventive and eclectic, often withholding full ingredient disclosures to preserve a sense of mystery. In daylight hours, the lounge transforms with Sky Tea, a reinterpretation of traditional afternoon tea reimagined by Chef Tom Coll and Chef Saverio Sbaragli with highlights including smoked yellowtail baguette and a raspberry, orange blossom and rose sphere patisserie.
Step inside Dubai’s most iconic landmark and discover a world where flavour meets feeling, and every meal tells a story only Jumeirah Burj Al Arab could inspire.
