With thrilling theme parks and ample opportunities for fun, Bahrain is a great place for kids. Here is our guide to some of the best things to do with kids while you’re here.

Defy gravity by skydiving, indoors

Kids and teens will love the feeling of freefall skydiving, without a plane or parachute. At Gravity Indoor Skydiving, they can float in one of the world’s tallest wind tunnels against wind speeds that reach 250km/h. After diving into the 12m tube they’ll experience the adrenaline rush of skydiving at 12,000 feet as they glide above the exhilarating blasts of air.

Go wild at Adhari Park

For daredevil families who love feeling the rush of rollercoasters, Adhrai Park, Bahrain’s biggest theme park, is a must. Bold adventurers should head for Discovery Village with its dizzying Spinning Madness and Super Taga Dico rides. Over in Groovy Town, little ones will love the Mini bumper cars and the kids’ playground, while the Log Flume and Flying Carousel in Sports Camp are always crowd pleasers.

See birds of paradise at Azizia Birds’ Kingdom

With over 70 types of birds from around the world, Azizia Birds Kingdom is Bahrain’s number one spot for an avian adventure. See exotic and rare species like colourful Bolivian macaws, Java peacocks and Californian quails up close in a carefully controlled ecosystem designed to nurture endangered species.

Have aquatic adventures at The Lost Paradise Of Dilmun

Slide on the watery rides of Bahrain’s biggest water park, designed to resemble an ancient Arabian Kingdom. Zip down slides and whizz back and forth in a tube on the giant pendulum ride, Boomerango. For something more genteel, unwind in the therapeutic spa pool with its jacuzzi jets or bob along the paradise river. The Lost Paradise Of Dilmun is also home to Bahrain’s only wave pool with a sandy beach.

Burn some rubber at Bahrain International Circuit

Join the illustrious Formula 1 names who’ve raced round this track with your own petrol-fuelled experience. Spoil your family with a VIP tour, which takes you behind the scenes to Sakhir Tower and the Media Centre, followed by a drive around the Grand Prix race track. Kids can feel the rush in the nippy go-karts at Bahrain International Circuit’s Arrive and Drive sessions, available for anyone aged seven and over.

With a private beach and pool, fun-packed Kids Club and luxurious residences, Jumeirah Royal Saray is Bahrain’s finest family destination.
