Nourishing the Soul

Experience Iftar and Suhoor across Jumeirah’s destinations, where tradition is honoured

Under the sighted crescent moon, Ramadan is under way. This month of the year is one defined by reflection, devotion and self-discipline as days unfold in restraint; appetite is set aside with intention, and time moves with heightened awareness.

As the sun lowers, the rhythm of the day softens as families gather. Ramadan invites an unhurried pace - a time to reconnect, reflect and share in moments of togetherness. Around the table, breaking fast becomes a ritual of gratitude and connection. Dates are shared, conversation lingers into the evening, and the majlis fills with the warmth of Arabic coffee and familiar voices.

Across Jumeirah, these sacred gatherings take place in beautiful settings - spaces designed to honour time-held rituals, with dishes prepared by expert chefs to nourish both body and spirit.

Al Diwan, Jumeirah Burj Al Arab

Rising from its private island, the sail-shaped silhouette of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab captures the final light before dusk settles across the Gulf. At Al Diwan, Iftar marks the breaking of the fast with a tempting range of Arabic classics and international dishes, alongside live cooking stations. Ramadan beverages - are served as the sound of the Qanun drifts through the room.

Suhoor unfolds at a gentler pace, with curated late-night meal options, seasonal beverages and live performances, including illuminated sand art created in motion.

The Bombay Club, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab

At Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, one of Dubai’s newest shoreline addresses, The Bombay Club, offers a unique environment for Ramadan. Under the direction of Michelin-starred Chef Manav Tuli, Iftar draws from India’s rich heritage, presented as a sharing-style set menu that brings family and friends together around generous courses. Suhoor follows with an à la carte offering, extending the evening in surroundings that feel intimate and evocative of Bombay’s grand salons.

Al Majlis, Madinat Jumeirah & Jumeirah Al Naseem

Inspired by the historic trading towns of ancient Arabia, Madinat Jumeirah offers a setting that echoes the spirit of Ramadan. Waterways wind between shaded walkways, wind towers rise above open courtyards, and the landscape lends itself effortlessly to shared experiences.

During the holy month, Al Majlis takes residence within the Madinat Arena and extends into Al Majlis Garden, where Iftar is presented as an expansive offering featuring regional favourites alongside global selections. By the shoreline Jumeirah Al Naseem, Majlis Under the Stars offers a more intimate experience, with Arabic sharing dishes and live oud carried into the night.

The season continues at Margaux Pastry Boutique, where a two-tiered Ramadan hamper is unveiled as a collaborative creation by the resort’s pastry teams. Led by Chefs Thomas Moulin, Nicolas Bacheyre and Kevin Roehrig, the collection includes pistachio mabrooma, maamoul and cocoa-infused baklava, composed for sharing or gifting throughout the month.

A dedicated children’s zone provides crafts and entertainment, while Sufi performances create a sense of ceremony. As night deepens, Suhoor invites a slower cadence, with private majlis lounges overlooking the water.

Tean, Jumeirah Saadiyat Island
