This past summer has been full of standout moments, with so many wonderful things to look back on. Thrilling sailing races, a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event, new partnerships that speak to everything we value, and heartwarming initiatives that reflect our enduring care for the ocean and all its creatures. Above all, it has been a season of finding new ways to enrich the experiences we craft for you, our Jumeirah One members, and I wanted to share some of its highlights.

One of the summer's great pleasures was our partnership with Humantra. Two brands born in Dubai, brought together by a shared belief in wellbeing, community and generosity, we created a limited-edition Pineapple hydration blend for the warmer months. The pineapple has long been a symbol of welcome, once displayed to show that guests were thought of and cared for, making it a fitting emblem for everything we hoped to offer. We marked the occasion with an intimate pineapple-inspired dinner at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.

In fact, the British capital enjoyed a warm, sun-filled summer, and the hotel played host to a season of unforgettable moments. Among them was the celebrated Chelsea in Bloom, which each May transforms the streets of Chelsea into open-air floral installations. This year's theme was "Out of This World." Together with florist Paul Thomas, the hotel transformed its façade into a celestial installation inspired by Arabian astronomy, navigation and the astrolabe that once guided travellers by the stars. 

That fascination with the sky carried us onward to Mallorca. In August, Jumeirah Mallorca, set high above Port de Sóller, fell within the path of a total solar eclipse: the first seen from Spain in over a century, and not due again until 2180. For a little over ninety seconds, the Moon passed directly between the Earth and the Sun, and the day briefly turned to twilight over the Mediterranean.
Against Mallorca's breathtaking backdrop, we curated a programme spanning several days, including astronomy masterclasses with the Mallorca Astronomy Institute, cocktails one hundred metres above the sea, and dinners beneath the darkening sky at Cap Roig and Sunset Lounge. It was, by any measure, an extraordinary way to witness one of the rarest sights of our lifetimes.

Back in London, we were delighted to welcome Jumeirah One members for the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix weekend in Portsmouth. Guests enjoyed an exclusive programme inspired by the thrill of the race, balanced by moments of restoration at The Peak, where movement, recovery and mindful rituals reflected our holistic approach to wellbeing. As our three-season partnership with Emirates GBR SailGP continues, I look forward to sharing many more unforgettable experiences with you. 

If the sea gave us cause to celebrate this summer, it also reminded us of what we owe it. Ahead of World Sea Turtle Day, we returned twenty-three rehabilitated turtles to the wild at Jumeirah Al Naseem, part of a project that has helped more than 2,300 across two decades. Further afield, our team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island in the Maldives continued its coral planting and marine education, while at Jumeirah Muscat Bay we joined the Environment Society of Oman for a series of workshops. I find these moments the most rewarding of all, bringing our guests closer to the natural world and to the responsibility we share in looking after it.

However far these experiences take us, they all return to the same place: the generous, heartfelt hospitality of our Arabian heritage that has always been the soul of Jumeirah. It is a privilege to share it with our Jumeirah One members, and I look forward to bringing you many more experiences in the months ahead.
