Day 1 - Romantic Dubai
Start your romantic holiday in Dubai with a leisurely breakfast in bed. If you’re staying at one of the Madinat Jumeirah properties, you’ll have stunning views of lush gardens or the Arabian Gulf. Burj Al Arab offers the ultimate in luxury and with such an opulent bedroom, you’ll never want to leave.
Once you’ve emerged for your first day in Dubai, catch a Jumeirah golf buggy to Souk Madinat Jumeirah – this recreation of a traditional market is air-conditioned and offers shopping and dining options. Just down the road is the Gold & Diamond Park with 90 jewelers vying for your business. Surprise your loved one with a gift from one of the many stores or if you’re planning to propose, this is where you get the ring!
Continue your romantic sojourn and lunch on the verandah of Pierchic. Voted one of the most romantic restaurants in Dubai, the restaurant is constructed at the end of a decked pier – a short walk from the Madinat Jumeirah beach takes you there. Seafood is the specialty, so make sure you sample some and for non-seafood lovers, there are other accomplished dishes on offer.
Set amongst the landscaped gardens of Madinat Jumeirah, is Talise Spa. Their Signature treatments will transport you to another world and the couple’s rooms is a fun way to experience the same or different treatments together. Your concierge desk will be able to make bookings which are recommended on Friday and Saturday – the UAE weekend.
Bateaux Dubai runs luxury cruises along Dubai Creek throughout the week. Contemporary music, a modern East/West fusion menu and stunning evening views complete the picture. If you prefer a more secluded environment, try Art Marine based at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. They have private yachts ranging in size from 43 feet to 100 feet – the Azimut would be perfect for your needs. Contact your concierge desk for availability and reservations.
Day 2 - Romantic Dubai
For a virtuous beginning to the day, start with a private yoga session on the beach. The therapists from Talise Spa will arrange everything for you. Compliment your practice with a zingy ginger tea, juices and fresh fruits ordered off the room service menu.
Charter your own limousine or luxury vehicle for a personalized tour of Dubai. The concierge desk at the hotel can organize everything and can provide a range of options from an outlandish stretched Hummer to an understated European sedan.
Get your chauffeur or driver to drop you at the Mall of the Emirates. Après is a casual and cosy restaurant tucked away at the end of the mall near the attached hotel. The views are quite cool – literally; the restaurant overlooks one of the world’s largest indoor ski slopes.
After your lunch head down over to the Ski Dubai entrance located on the floor below Après. If your partner is a bit timid on skis, book a lesson, otherwise there are five other runs to choose from which vary in difficulty.
All equipment and skiwear is included in the entry fee and it really must be done on a hot summer day. The temperature on the slopes is kept between -1°C (30°F) and -6°C (21°F) all year round.
Hopefully you are not too bruised from falling over on skis. After you freshen up in your room or suite, enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the Skyview Bar at Burj Al Arab. Suspended 200 metres (660 feet) above sea level – the views during sunset are truly stunning.
Earlier today, the staff at Burj Al Arab reserved a dinner table at your request in Al Mahara. Here, in what seems like an underwater restaurant, a vast circular aquarium is the centerpiece to one of the world’s best seafood restaurants.
