Day 1- Dubai Family Fun
This morning, Latitude is best for breakfast. The alfresco chairs and tables are lovely in the morning – if the weather is not too hot. Inside, there is an extensive buffet with live cooking stations and the kids will love the play area complete with video games.
Fuelled by breakfast, the children have the energy to enjoy their fun-filled activities at Sinbad’s – the hotel’s kids club. Children aged 2-4 can use the club for one morning or afternoon session daily, while children aged 5-12 can use it on an unlimited basis all day long.
With the children having fun in their own club, it’s time for a beach massage and maybe a swim in the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf. Very relaxing.
Beachcombers blends cuisine from across Asia. The views and setting are superb and the children have a play area too. Staying at Jumeirah Beach Hotel means you have many choices for lunch though; Waterfront is another popular place located on the ground floor of the Pavilion Marina & Sports Club.
After lunch, head down to the beach and enjoy some time in the sun. The watersports centre hire out fun equipment like kayaks, or take a thrilling ride on a kneeboard or banana boat. Towel-off and board the complementary shuttle to Dubai Mall. Now the largest mall in the world, Dubai Mall offers ice skating, SEGA Republic and a huge aquarium with coral, fish and sharks.
The Dubai Fountain is located just outside the Mall and is a spectacle in itself. Fountain shows start at 18:00 and it’s worth seeing one – even if it is 20-minutes long. From here, you can also see Burj Dubai – the world’s tallest building.
Stunning views of the Arabian Gulf, Burj Al Arab and Dubai's spectacular skyline, combined with the passion and flair of Argentina ensure that an evening spent at the new La Parrilla is an incomparable dining experience.
Day 2 - Dubai Family Fun
Enjoy a light and fresh breakfast at Waterfront at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Above is a modern gym with 60 pieces of equipment, classes, squash and a spa. Outside there is a climbing wall which is popular with both kids and adults. For two-wheeled fun, take a guided Segway tour along beach front.
Wild Wadi is a fun and thrilling waterpark connected to Jumeirah Beach Hotel. As a guest of the hotel, families get complimentary access to the theme park. The onsite photographers will capture every crazy moment on film.
Julshan’s Kitchen and Sinbad’s Galley are Wild Wadi’s two main restaurants serving burgers, sandwiches, pasta, pizza and fries as well as some more healthy options like salads and grilled chicken.
After a few more rides at Wild Wadi, get your taxi driver to drop you off at Ibn Battuta Mall in The Gardens. Named after the explorer, the mall is divided into six different courts themed after the places he travelled to. Within the 21 screen cinema complex, the IMAX theatre is a must and shows films ranging from blockbusters to nature documentaries.
Outside is a hot air balloon experience which sends riders up high for amazing views of Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai Marina and the surrounding district. Attached to a steel cable, the experience is great for family photos and it’s particularly popular during sunset.
You probably spotted Dubai Marina from the top of the balloon ride. It’s a modern and vibrant part of Dubai with plenty of dining options. Try Noodle House – an Asian chain of restaurants operating throughout the Middle East. Once seated at your table, use the menu pad and pens to mark the dishes you want to order. The menu is constantly evolving and includes dishes from Thailand, China and Japan.
