Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa introduces new Italian chef and menu

Kuwait, 13 March, 2014:  Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait’s idyllic resort, has has appointed a new Italian chef Francesco Picaro.

Born in Naples, the capital of the Italian region of Campania, Francesco Picaro received his diploma from Instituto Alberghiero G. Salvemini and his Masters Certificate in Gourmet from the A Tavola Con Lo Chef in Rome. He has over 13 years’ experience in the culinary world gained from luxury hotels in Egypt, Libya, the United States and in his home country Italy.

Francesco Picaro recently introduced a new menu including a selection of aperitivi or drinks, antipasti, soups, an assortment of risottos and pasta dishes and a wider variety of main courses, pizzas and desserts. Gourmet coffee choices are also offered.

Among the selection of aperitivi, is Venezia, a refreshing drink made from fresh grapes, passion fruit, lemon juice and rosemary. For antipasti, Insalata di Mare includes a mix of octopus, shrimps, calamari, mussels, celeries and carrot with a lemon dressing. The soup options now include Zuppa di Pesce alla Mediterranea or Mediterranean seafood soup.

For risotto and pasta options, traditional Italian Lasagna is offered and for a hearty main course the sumptuous Costolette d’Agnello, made from lamb chop with pistachio, sauté vegetables, mashed potato and rosemary sauce is a popular choice. Authentic Italian pizzas made in a wood burning oven include the Frutti di Mare made from tomato, mozzarella, prawns, mussels and calamari.
