Jumeirah hotels support UAE Green Festival 2014
Dubai, 16 March 2014: Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hospitality group and member of Dubai Holding is delighted to announce its participation in the UAE Green Festival 2014.
The festival began on Sunday 16 March and will last until Wednesday 16 April 2014. It is aimed at unveiling the UAE’s sustainable identity as a leading green destination and ultimately providing residents and visitors with a better quality of life.
Jumeirah is already committed to supporting the environment and has implemented sustainable measures throughout the hotels. The Green Globe Certified (GGC) hotels, Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Jumeirah Beach Hotel are proud to support the festival with exclusive Talise Spa offers. All three hotels hold the GGC for implementing energy-saving measures and more hotels are expected to follow throughout 2014.
Burj Al Arab will offer AED 100 credit on any 80-minute massage treatment at its award-winning facilities. Perched 150 metres above the Arabian Gulf, Talise Spa is the ultimate destination to luxuriate, relax and rejuvenate. Bathed in natural light, this groundbreaking spa offers a sanctuary for guests to indulge in an extensive menu of massage treatments, designed to reinvigorate and restore.
At Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Jumeirah Beach Hotel guests will be offered a 20% discount on spa treatments at during weekdays from 16 March – 16 April 2014. Jumeirah Beach Hotel will hold demonstrations to showcase its current green efforts, offer tips and advice on how to preserve the environment and guests will be encouraged to download the UAE Green Festival App. Guests dining at the Waterfront restaurant will be offered complimentary healthy drink shooters.
Jumeirah Creekside Hotel will host the ‘You are U’ eco-art exhibition, created by the students from Manzil, a special needs centre in Sharjah. The centre allows students to enhance their skills and stand their place in society with pride. Using materials such as egg shells and cardboard, the students address the environment’s call for survival through art. The hotel will also promote wellness and host full moon yoga on 15 April at 7pm free of charge. During the festival, the restaurants Nomad and Plumeria will provide a green menu using recycled paper and offer organic cuisine. Signature restaurant Blue Flame will also offer sustainable choices.
Guests who stay at Madinat Jumeirah during the UAE Green Festival can enjoy complimentary access to Wild Wadi Waterpark, complimentary access to Sinbad's Kids’ Club, access to the Turtle rehabilitation pen located at Mina A'Salam with an opportunity to feed the turtles on Wednesdays at 11am and Fridays at 1pm. Guests can enjoy an organic menu at Segreto and access Tai Chi and Kung Fu with Master Can at Talise Spa.
Jumeirah at Etihad Towers has designed green menus in Li Beirut, Nahaam and Rosewater. The menus focus on locally produced items, reduction of the carbon footprint and sustainability. During the festival, there will be a special focus on where the products come from and how they are produced. Menus will be made from recycled paper and the hotel will run an in-house recycling campaign.
Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residences will offer 15% off Best Available rate on bookings make for the eco apartments during the Green Festival. These apartments have been fitted with Energy Star appliances, LED light, bulbs, eco-friendly cleaning materials and bio-degradable amenities.
