Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts and Wild Wadi Waterpark support Dubai Golf’s new Junior Ambassador Programme

Dubai, 03 September 2013: Dubai Golf are introducing a brand new Dubai Golf Junior Programme at both Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. The Golf Professionals at both clubs have utilised their knowledge and expertise to create a new Dubai Golf Junior Programme allowing golfers to move through different levels as their skills and experience develop. The programme is being supported by Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts and Wild Wadi Waterpark.

Stephen Deane, Head Academy Professional at Emirates Golf Club commented, “The new junior programme includes a combination of skills and physical based activities with a focus on fun to ensure that the junior golfers really do get the maximum benefit from the time that they spend with us”.

Christian Pertl, Vice President Sales & Marketing MEASA for Jumeirah, said, “Partnering with the Dubai Golf Junior Programme allows Jumeirah  to contribute to the success and development of these young golfers. There is so much talent in the region and it is great to see such initiatives giving them the chance to shine.”

The Dubai Golf Junior Programme has been created for youngsters of all levels of golfing experience aged between seven and seventeen years old and follows different levels as participants become more experienced golfers.  The entry level to the programme ensures sound fundamentals are installed from the beginning and as the child moves through the various stages of development the Golf Professionals will also focus on the physical, etiquette, rules and on-course performance areas of the game.

The Little Champions programme has been designed specifically for children aged between four and six years old and it is an ideal way to introduce children to the game of golf. The program is designed to firstly develop the child’s understanding of the game whilst also working on key FUNdamental movement skills.

Stephen Hubner, Head Golf Professional at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club said, “Last year our team of Golf Professionals taught over 400 juniors, we are fortunate to have some very strong young players within the region and it is fantastic to play a role in contributing to their development”.

Chris Perry, General Manager from Wild Wadi said, “We are delighted to be involved with the Dubai Golf Junior Programme, it is great to witness the enthusiasm that the participants have for the game of golf and be part of a initiative that is instrumental in developing the regions future golfers”.
