Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa opens ‘Olio’ for a Taste of Italy in Kuwait
Kuwait, 24 November 2013: Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait’s idyllic resort, has launched Olio, bringing authentic Italian flavours to the stunning beachfront restaurant.
With beautiful views overlooking the Arabian Sea and the hotel pools, Olio brings guests ‘A Taste of Italy,’ offering a trendy and casual dining ambience, ideal for a romantic occasion or family dinner.
Headed by Executive Chef Chris Curtis, who has extensive experience from luxury hotels around the world, the restaurant has been created with a genuine Italian feel.
Traditional and hearty dishes are offered such as Tortellini all’Astice – stuffed pasta with slipper lobster, shrimps and crabmeat bisque sauce and Pollo alla Cacciatora - Tuscan style chicken with tomato and olives. Diners can also choose from a selection of pizzas cooked in the wood-burning oven and a feast of mouth-watering daily specials.
Mark Griffiths, General Manager, said: “We are proud to officially open the doors of Olio and provide guests with authentic Italian dishes and family friendly service. Through the sounds and aromas coming from cooking in our open kitchen, guests will immediately get the feeling of being transported to Italy.”
Executive Chef Chris Curtis, originally from Australia, has worked in five-star brands all over the world. From the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra, Australia, the Intercontinental Hotel, Shenzhen, China, the Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand, Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel and Mina A’Salam in Dubai, Amanpulo in the Philippines and the Intercontinental in Danang, Vietnam.
