Jumeirah Group appoints Nabil Ramadhan as Chief Human Capital Officer
Dubai, 12 November 2013: Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, has appointed Nabil Ramadhan as Chief Human Capital Officer.
An Emirati citizen, Mr. Ramadhan joins the leadership of the region’s premier luxury hospitality company after a fourteen year career with some of the top organisations in the United Arab Emirates, most recently as Chief Operating Officer of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Authority.
In his role at DIFC Authority, Mr. Ramadhan was responsible for the overall Operations division of the Authority, including, human capital, real estate, security, information technology, procurement, administration and operational excellence. In addition to ensuring the smooth operation of DIFC, he also supported the development and execution of the DIFC’s strategy and business plan. During a period in 2012-2013 when DIFC awaited the arrival of its new CEO, Mr. Ramadhan stepped in as interim CEO to lead the Authority.
Before joining DIFC Authority in 2006, Mr. Ramadhan had worked for Dubai Properties as Director of Human Resources, where he set up their HR department; for Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone as Head of Human Capital Services; and, at the start of his career, for Emirates Group in the performance development department.
In his new role at Jumeirah Group, Mr. Ramadhan will report to President and Group CEO Gerald Lawless, overseeing the 14,000 employees of the hotel group. The company has expanded internationally over the past three years and now manages 22 luxury hotels and serviced apartments, including 11 in the Gulf region, six in Europe and five in Asia. A further 15 hotels are now under development.

Mr. Ramadhan holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona, USA, and is a graduate of the Mohamed bin Rashid Leadership Programme. He is a board member of Indemaj, the independent non-profit organisation that supports the development of quality education in all UAE Government Schools especially in rural areas.
