Jumeirah Frankfurt takes part at the fifth Skyscraper Festival

Frankfurt, 10 April 2013: Frankfurt am Main will once again be attracting visitors from near and far to Germany’s most elevated festival which promises to be one of the absolute highlights in 2013. The city has the highest and greatest skyscrapers-skylines in Europe and the fifth Skyscraper Festival, last held in 2007, will once again see the doors of numerous Frankfurt high-rises including Jumeirah Frankfurt opened to the general public.

Accompanied by a colourful stage programme, street parties and hot-air balloon rides, the festival – taking place on 25th and 26th May 2013 – offers visitors a glimpse inside office and hotel towers normally closed to the public. The breath taking views of Frankfurt and the surrounding region from these lofty vantage points should promise to be even more astonishing. The excitement continuous down on street level with a massive fun fair held throughout Frankfurt’s banking district. High-wire acrobats, urban climbers and facade skaters, light shows and live music performances including artists such as “Nena”, “Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt” and “Bolero Berlin” are just some of the many fringe programme highlights of this excellent festival.

Initiators of the festival are the Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Frankfurter Neue Presse and HIT RADIO FFH that are also the organizer and official operator. The Skyscraper Festival is under the patronage of Frankfurt’s lord mayor Peter Feldmann and ex-lord mayor Petra Roth.

Entrance to all activities is free of charge but “only” 80.000 tickets can be reserved online to visit the 18 participating skyscraper – as many as never before. For further information and reservations for complimentary tickets to access the participating skyscrapers including Jumeirah Frankfurt please visit www.wolkenkratzer-festival.de.
