Dubai, 2 June 2013: As the weather heats up with the arrival of Summer, Rivington Grill, located in two of Dubai’s most iconic locations, brings you the perfect way to cool down with the very best of all things British. With a delicious back to basics British menu, exceptional bar offers and the best of this summer’s live sporting action, Rivington Grill is the place to be leading up to Ramadan this year.
Rivington Grill brings you a summer of fun starting with the launch of a brand new menu, offering diners an authentic taste of the British summer. Classic favourites such as fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding are joined by an array of light summertime dishes, including Earl Grey tea smoked chicken salad and homemade shredded corn beef with summer relish, served up in the cool surroundings of Souk Al Bahar or Souk Madinat Jumeirah.
Rivington Grill also caters for those craving a quick and tasty lunch with ‘The Lunch Hour’ running every Sunday to Thursday between 12pm – 5pm. Diners can enjoy a two course lunch for AED 90 at Souk Al Bahar or AED 100 at Madinat Jumeirah, including favourites such as chicken liver pate, seared beef and Yorkshire pudding salad and rhubarb jelly with iced crème fraiche – and be guaranteed of being in and out within the hour.
The Rivi Bar, located upstairs at Rivington Bar & Grill Souk Madinat Jumeirah, is set to become Dubai’s favourite sports bar, with live sporting action being screened throughout the summer. Kicking off in June is the start of the 2013 British and Irish Lions tour of Australia, with all the action from one of Britain’s most revered rugby tours shown live. This will be closely followed by the arrival of Wimbledon, arguably the world’s most prestigious tournament and a very English affair that would not be complete without a dose of some delicious strawberries and cream – with a Rivi twist.
And the summer of sport would not be complete without some live cricket, with England taking on Australia for the hotly contested Ashes throughout July and August. Not only will guests enjoy all the live action on the big screens, but the bar will also be offering special drink and snack deals throughout the games.
Those wishing to while away the evenings with refreshing beverages can also take advantage of the nightly offers at Rivi Bar which include Pimms & Punch ladies night every Tuesday, So Chic So Clicquot Veuve nights on Wednesday and summer’s happiest happy hour every day from 5-8pm featuring drinks from just AED 25. Watch the stunning sunset while enjoying an ale or cider from the long list of truly British drinks including Fuller’s London Pride, Honey Dew organic ale, Bulmer’s cider and Crabbie’s ginger ale.
Escape the heat outside this summer and head indoors to your favourite British bar and restaurant, and make the most of all of the British fun, food and excitement the summer brings.

Rivington Grill was first introduced into Dubai under Jumeirah Restaurants LLC, with the opening of the original restaurant at Souk Al Bahar in 2008. The second restaurant, Rivington Bar & Grill, followed in 2012 in the equally popular Souk Madinat Jumeirah. With its history stemming from Shoreditch, a fashionable area of London famed for artists, galleries and designers, this all-day casual dining concept brings authentic ‘Back to Basics’ seasonally inspired British cuisine to the Middle East.
Rivington Grill is known in Dubai not only for its quality and simplicity in food, but also for its al fresco dining spaces, with Souk Al Bahar featuring an outdoor terrace with views of The Dubai Fountains and the Burj Khalifa, and Rivington Bar & Grill featuring four terraces spanning a number of levels and with stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and Burj Al Arab. The Souk Madinat Jumeirah restaurant is also home to the Rivington Bar, a destination in its own right with indoor and outdoor bars, terraces and function areas.
Having been nominated for various awards since its launch, Rivington Grill Souk Al Bahar has won a number of awards including most recently BBC Good Food Awards Best British Restaurant 2012, What’s On Awards Best British Restaurant 2012 and What’s On Awards Best European Restaurant in both 2010 & 2011. In addition, both restaurants were named in Ahlan! Hot 100 Restaurants 2012 and Esquire magazines 2013 Top 50 restaurants in the Middle East
