Setting Imaginations On Fire

Our history is so extraordinary, it reads like a fairy story. In 1997 we began with a dream to become the most innovative luxury hospitality group in the world, and we have exceeded all expectations.

In 1997 Jumeirah Beach Hotel redefined what a luxury destination could be. Then came Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah – the most luxurious hotel in the world. It still dazzles and is the benchmark for the ultimate luxury experience. By 2000 Jumeirah Emirates Towers was receiving accolades from business travellers. Then we rejuvenated two legendary London Hotels – Jumeirah Carlton Tower and the Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in Belgravia.

By 2004 Madinat Jumeirah (three grand boutique hotels forming an Arabian city) had risen on Dubai’s waterfront.

By 2006 we were busy in New York transforming Jumeirah Essex House into one of the most magnificent hotels in America. And in 2011 we entered Asia with Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel in Shanghai.

So how did we make our dream come true?

Hard work – of course. Brave strategy – certainly. We did it by living our Hallmarks and Guiding Principles which help over 12,000 colleagues from 100 nationalities make guests feel extra special – every day. And through our promise – STAY DIFFERENT™ – which delivers imaginative and exhilarating experiences in culturally connected environments offering a thoughtful and generous service.

In line with our core essence to STAY DIFFERENT™, the individuality of the Jumeirah portfolio is unmistakable, encompassing the world renowned Burj Al Arab, the world’s most luxurious hotel, the multi-award winning Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Madinat Jumeirah and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray in Dubai; Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi; Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel in Baku; Jumeirah Frankfurt in Germany; Pera Palace Hotel, Jumeirah in Istanbul;  Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London; Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa in Mallorca; Jumeirah Dhevanafushi and Jumeirah Vittaveli in the Maldives;  Jumeirah Grand Hotel Via Veneto in Rome and Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel in Shanghai.
