Alain Kallas joined the Jumeirah Group in September 2007 as Director of Development - Design and was promoted to Regional Director of Development - Design MEASA in April 2010. In January 2014, he was promoted to the position of Vice President Development – Design to oversee the Corporate Design function which is an integral part of the Development Department responsible for Jumeirah’s strategic expansion plans.
He brings extensive industry experience having worked with leading hotel operators, design consultancies and contracting firms. Prior to joining the Group, Alain was based in Dubai and involved in the design and expansion of 40 Holiday Inn Express hotels in the GCC and KSA through a master franchise with InterContinental Hotels Group in the region. His previous experience includes working with Dar Group on the design of the expansion of Dubai International Airport and the new Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali. He was also involved in the design of two Four Seasons Hotels in Beirut and Damascus and a number of hotels and mixed-use developments and government assignments in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Angola.
Alain holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts in Beirut, an Executive MBA from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris in Paris and the Advanced Certification in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University in New York.
