As Chief Internal Audit Officer of Jumeirah Group, Aldrin Sequeira provides assurance and observations on internal control, risk management and governance to the Audit & Risk Committee of the Jumeirah Group Board.
He joined the Jumeirah Group in September 2004 as Director of Internal Audit before he was promoted to Vice President, Internal Audit in September 2009 and the position of Chief Internal Audit Officer in October 2012. He reports to the Audit & Risk Committee of the Board.
Aldrin is an Australian citizen who grew up in Dubai and holds a Bachelor of Business degree (Accounting Major) from Central Queensland University, Australia. He is also a qualified Australian Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (FCPA), US Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and has a Qualification in Internal Audit Leadership (QIAL) from IIA Global. Aldrin is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (Australia), the Institute of Internal Controls (US) and Chairs the Institute of Internal Auditors (Dubai) hospitality sub group.
Prior to joining Jumeirah, Aldrin had 12 years of audit and business advisory experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, having worked in their offices in Dubai, Australia, Egypt, Libya and Papua New Guinea.
