Arata Isozaki is a recipient of Royal Gold Medal from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Golden Lion award at the Venice Architecture Biennale. He is widely acknowledged as a leading representative of "post-modernism" in the architectural circles. He has successfully incorporated Chinese classical poetic images into advanced design ideas.
