Sesame Street - Monday, 29 September to Saturday, 4 October 2014

Mark your calendar for a musical event like no other - monsters making music! Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and all their Sesame Street friends are heading to Dubai and shall take to the stage to share their love of music in Sesame Street Live "Elmo Makes Music."

Jenny, an enthusiastic new music teacher, arrives on Sesame Street only to discover that her instruments are missing. Jenny's new Muppet friends quickly come to the rescue and discover 'instruments' they never knew existed...rubber duckies, trash can lids and even cookie jars. Elmo and friends teach children that everyone can make and enjoy beautiful music together.

Adults will hear music they'll recognize and enjoy sharing with children, such as "The Hustle," "You Should Be Dancing" and "Rockin' Robin." "Elmo Makes Music" features nearly two dozen songs, including classics that children will love to sing along with such as "C Is for Cookie" and "The Alphabet Song."

Love, Loss and What I Wore - Thursday, 16 October 2014 to Saturday, 18 October 2014

Love, Loss, and What I Wore is a play written by the late Nora Ephron (writer of When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle) and her sister Delia, based on the popular book by Ilene Beckerman. Like the book, Love, Loss and What I Wore uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories. The show is a delightful scrapbook of stories about unfortunate prom dresses, the traumatic lighting in fitting rooms, high heels, short skirts and the existential state of having nothing to wear. Accessorizing these tales — which are mostly comic but often sad or sentimental too — are the mothers who disapprove, the men who disappear and the sisters who've got your back

The show was initially presented in 2008 in New York, where it continues to run as the second-longest running show off Broadway. The production received numerous awards including the 2010 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience as well as the 2010 Audience Award for Favorite New Off-Broadway Play.

Previous cast members include Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Chenoweth, Tyne Daly, Glenn Close and Rosie O'Donnell. The four fantastic performers who will star in the Dubai production are all professional actresses who have chosen to make Dubai their home.
