Curator on Staff

Katherine Gass, Jumeirah Curator based at Jumeirah Essex House, oversees the art program platform and manages our collaborations with artists and cultural institutions.  She travels to Jumeirah properties worldwide to attend art fairs and biennials and is frequent contributor to Jumeirah Magazine.

In addition to her work for Jumeirah Group, Ms Gass runs James Company Contemporary Art Projects LLC.  She has held posts at The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Chase Manhattan Bank Art Collection and the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art.  She serves on the board of Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture, and is a member of Art Table, the International Association of Professional Art Advisors, and WBENC, Certified Women’s Business Enterprise.  She received her BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University and her MA from New York University.
