Q. What is the hotel's policy about lost and found items?
A. Should any guests lose personal belongings whilst staying at Madinat Jumeirah, if recovered, the item will be recorded as 'found'.
We keep detailed records of all 'found' items, and will store these for a maximum of three months. After this period, in line with the directives of the General Department of Criminal Investigation in Dubai, all unclaimed items will be handed over to the nearest Police Station.
These 'found' items will then be kept at the police warehouse for a further three months after which they will be auctioned and any funds raised will be given to charity.
Should hotel guests need to locate any item after the initial three month period expires, they are requested to contact the hotel who will assist in coordinating with the police station where the ‘found’ items are handed over. The police will then advise the necessary procedures to locate any item.
ROOMS AND SUITES
Q. How many Rooms and Suites does Madinat Jumeirah have?
A. Mina A' Salam comprises of 280 rooms and 12 suites, all with balconies and sea-facing aspects.
Al Qasr comprises of 260 rooms and 32 suites, all with balconies.
Dar Al Masyaf comprises of 29 Summer Houses with 283 rooms and suites.
Q. At what time can I check-in and at what time do I have to check-out?
A. Guests are requested to check-in after 2pm on the day of arrival and check-out by 12pm on the day of departure.
Q. Can I check-in early? Can I check-out late?
A. Requests for early check-in or late check-out are honoured as space permits. Guests scheduled to arrive early in the morning, who wish to access their room upon arrival, are advised to book the night prior. Late check-out requests are at the discretion of the hotel and are subject to an extra charge.
Q. Do you have interconnecting rooms?
A. Uniquely almost all rooms at Madinat Jumeirah are interconnecting with the added advantage of a private front door to facilitate full use of this room configuration option. Interconnecting rooms are subjected to availability at the time of arrival and should be requested during the reservation process.
Q. What are your in-room facilities?
A. Room service 24 hours a day, minibar, Interactive TV, alarm clock radio, fax machine, scanner, photocopier and high speed Internet access
Q. Are safety deposit boxes available?
A. All rooms are equipped with in-room safes. Furthermore, Reception offers a safety deposit box facility.

A. All guest rooms are equipped with high speed Internet access facilities. A nominal charge for this applies.

Q. Is clothing optional for sunbathing at the resort?
A. Topless sunbathing is not permitted under the UAE law. In the event a guest chooses to participate in this activity, the resort's management will intervene immediately.
Q. Is there a shuttle service available to the city?
A. The resort provides a regular shuttle bus, which takes guests to various sites and shopping centres around Dubai.
Q. Do you organise safaris and tours?
A. Various companies organise a wide variety of activities, including city tours, creek cruises, desert safaris and visits to heritage sites in Dubai. The Hotel Concierge will be happy to make the necessary arrangements for you.
Q. Does a guest of the resort have access to Wild Wadi Water Park in the neighbouring Jumeirah Beach Hotel Resort?
A. Guests of Madinat Jumeirah are entitled to a concessionary rate for access to Wild Wadi.
CHILDREN
Q. Are children welcome in the resort?
A. Children are more than welcome in the resort. The resort provides numerous dedicated children facilities including a Sinbad's Kids Club accompanied by a host of supervised activities.
Q. Is a babysitting service available?
A. A professional babysitting service is available at an additional charge and it is recommended to book this service at least 6 hours in advance.
Q. Do you have facilities for children?
A. A dedicated Sinbad's Kid’s Club adjacent to the main pool area of Al Qasr, is available. The Quay Healthclub also features a crèche facility where parents can leave their children with complete peace of mind whilst they workout.

Q. Why is my credit card needed to make a reservation?
A. Your credit card details are required to make a reservation but will not be charged at the time of booking. Your credit card is only used as a form of guarantee.

CLIMATE
Q. What type of temperature can you experience in Dubai?
A. Dubai has a sub-tropical, arid climate. Sunny blue skies and warm temperatures can be expected most of the year. Winter starts from November through until March. The mean daily maximum is 24° C (75° F) in January, rising to 41° C (106° F) in July.
