The Ottoman Lobby

The Ottoman Lobby

Inspired by the opulent Ottoman palaces, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray's lobby makes for an impressive welcome.

The striking main chandelier suspended over the fountain is one of 165 fittings that illuminate the interiors of the hotel. Each one is a reproduction of pieces that adorn the Dolmabahçe and Topkapi palaces in Istanbul.

Red Turkish velvet covers the lobby's sofas and the hotel features 30,000 square metres of natural marble stone, crafted by Turkish craftsmen and sourced from Afyon and Kutahya, two mountainous cities in Turkey. Artwork features several paintings of the Tulip, the Kaftan (the Sultan's clothing) and replicas of art featured in the Ottoman Palaces, all designed by Ismail Acar, a renowned Turkish artist.
