Q. What is the residence's policy about lost and found items?
A. Should any guests lose personal belongings whilst staying at Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residence, if recovered, the item will be recorded as 'found'. We keep detailed records of all 'found' items, and will store these for a maximum of three months. After this period, in line with the directives of the General Department of Criminal Investigation in Dubai, all unclaimed items will be handed over to the nearest Police Station. These 'found' items will then be kept at the police warehouse for a further three months after which they will be auctioned, and any funds raised given to charity. Should hotel guests need to locate any item after the initial three month period expires, they are requested to contact the hotel who will assist in coordinating with the police station where the found items are handed over. The police will then advise the necessary procedures to locate any item.
Please find the summary report for the lost and found procedure:
- Item is found by our colleague;
- Within 1 hour colleague should hand over the found item to Security
- Security will register the item and attach the slip on it and store in Lost and Found store;
- After 3 months if nobody will claim the item, it will be handed over to Dubai Police;
- If the item will be claimed by the owner, then Security will take all necessary information to close the status of lost and found item.
