The Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne is very well equipped not only in terms of buildings but also in the advanced technology systems that are incorporated in them. On the EHL campus, you will find:
- 49 different classrooms, accommodating classes ranging in size from 15 to 60 students. Eleven of the classrooms are fitted with multi-media equipment such as video conferencing.
- A 200-seat, high-tech auditorium, which is used not only for lectures and presentations but also for international conferences, etc.
- A 1,000 m² library/media centre, containing books, videos, magazines and newspapers from all over the world, and direct access to on-line information sources.
The Médiathèque is part of the new wing of the campus. In addition to classrooms and auditoriums, it contains workrooms, meeting rooms, administration offices, and two floors of underground parking. The building has been designed to provide the best possible facilities for learning, with wide plate-glass windows, light wells, and a terrace giving a superb view of the Alps. The entire design makes it clear that this is a building intended for young people and gives the school an unmistakably dynamic image.
Student accommodation
Most new students live on campus in one of five separate residential buildings. There are 300 single studios, with en suite shower and WC. Linen and towels are provided. The studios are cleaned regularly by EHL housekeeping staff. Many students find it an advantage not to have to share a room in their first, intensive semester at EHL.
If you have a car, you can also have an individual reserved parking space: there are 365 in the underground garage and a further 200 outdoors.
Sports facilities
Reflecting the growing volume of sport-related vacations - not to mention the need for physical exercise to complement all the mental exercise the EHL program demands - students are encouraged to practice at least one sport. There are three tennis courts and a well equipped gymnasium on campus as well.
