In the Kitchen with Rory McIlroy

On Monday, 22nd November 2010 our global ambassador Rory McIlroy hosted another Jumeirah day, this time in Dubai.  Rory was set to impress everyone with his culinary skills as he spent an hour at his favourite restaurant MJ’s Steakhouse at Al Qasr in the Madinat Jumeirah cooking with other golf Pros and the young golfing talents from Dubai.

Next stop was at Jumeirah Beach Hotel tennis courts where he got to play another of his favourite sports with the PBI tennis professionals.

It was a day full of fun and another opportunity to get to know the other many skills of our very own Rory McIlroy.

Rory McIlroy said: "Coming back to Dubai is something I always look forward to.  I have made friends already and kind of have my second family here, which is Jumeirah." 

"This time, the Jumeirah day was not spent on the golf course with a golf club but in the kitchen at my favorite restaurant MJ’s Steakhouse in Al Qasr at the Madinat Jumeirah armed with a spatula and a kitchen tong cooking together with Chef Sebastian, golf Pros in Dubai and young local golfing talents. We all had such a wonderful time showing off our culinary skills. After lunch we headed off to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel tennis courts. All geared up, I got to play my other favourite sport which is tennis with PBI tennis professionals. It was amazing!"
