Alison Wright is a New York based documentary photographer and author who travels the globe to record the human condition for her editorial, commercial and humanitarian aid clients.  Ms. Wright focuses on documenting the traditions of endangered cultures. Her photographs are represented by The National Geographic Image Collection and have been published in National Geographic Society Magazine, Outside, Smithsonian Magazine, Islands, Oprah Magazine and The New York Times. 

The humility, eye for beauty and respect for her subjects that is evident in her work has won her much acclaim and many awards, including the Dorothea Lange Award in Documentary Photography, the North America Travel Journalists Association Award, and the Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Award (twice).
